Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

THIS. You've heard my yaps about the web of support services people depend on, and how little margin China has in providing food to the people.

People in China have been, frankly, abused by the CCP throughout this entire thing. Every time a video of the police locking a family in, or beating up someone without a mask, people futilely begging for help for a loved one, or showing conditions in the death houses comes out, that perception is reinforced.

For some reason, the thought just popped into my head that China is already asking certain countries for help with food via the backchannel, or at least making large purchases of food overseas, very quietly. Xi knows once food riots start he will have one hell of a mess, maybe even an existential threat to the CCP. No food! My child is hungry! Streets full of garbage! Rats all over! My family's sick and no one will help! Wonder what the straw will be that breaks the CCP's back.

Probably apple's factories shutting down for so long that Apple moves them to a different country. When all those child slaves love their job, they'll march on Xi lol

jk, xi will just mow them down with a tank. who would care about a bunch of chink kids? certainly not the emperor.

Mr Rumble arrived back in the UK on January 27 after being extradited from Thailand to face charges of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
He was infected either during extradiion, or while in prison. The extradition process usually takes a long time, so he would have been enjoying a lovely Thai prison for a while, probably months, and could not have been infected prior to his arrest. Considering the state of Thai prisons, it would be prime fertile real estate for corona-chan.

If he was infected in prison, prior to January 27th, right about now is when we should start seeing Thai prisoners dying off at alarming rates.

Interesting interview with a few of the americans in quarantine both in the US base and on the cruise ship in Japan. The one from the cruise ship says for her it was like a mild cold. The other was recently released from quarantine along with his 3 year old daughter, but his wife stayed behind in china to take care of her father and now has the virus herself. It's super weird seeing the contrast between the US and China so far, especially since the disease seems more mild to non east asians and our government & healthcare system is slightly exceptional compared to China's full rețard.

Whatever is in the chemical soup Chinese people have to eat, drink, and breathe can't possibly be helping much.

Hey, chicken tendies makers, please wash mine in chlorine twice, please.

So I’ve been keeping up on all 325 pages of corona chans many aventures with Winnie the Pooh. And I’m not surprised that China is acting like an authoritarian Communist dictatorship that’s to be expected. What I’m confused by is where is my “it ain’t real communism bro “Homies at You guys have been really quiet lately not a lot of chatter from Them? I miss being endlessly lecture at about the glories of the peoples Republic of sunshine and rainbows and puppies. And how America is a fascist imperial colonial brown people hating nationof fat burger eating fucks .

Like I said, China is nasty. Not the people, but the country itself. I have to imagine their immune systems are compromised from fighting off every other nasty thing over there.

what really intrigues me is if China rebels and ousts the CCP will it still stay together or will it fall apart into a bunch of smaller nations? most likely Tibet will try to slink away, would be pretty interesting if we got another warlord period

Maybe the KMT tries one more time to take over and now the KMT and DPP are at odds and Taiwan is now threatened by Nationalists.

The Chinese paid propagandists have more to worry about than defending Communism with the stupid purity fallacy.

In a non-clownworld this kind of article might have made sense. But in current climate the experts are paid off scumbags that would rather keep their stocks and investments high than actually give you helpful advise on how to keep yourself and your family healthy. Never mind that experts don't always agree and that some actions that are common sense are portrayed as being racist.
Have any of them caught onto this point and wrote a hit piece about "clown world" and similar ideas being a vast Russian/Koch/Neo-Nazi conspiracy to erode trust in the institutions so people start rejecting your reality and substituting their own.

Not defending or attacking the position, but this isn't a single issue:

- PRC isn't "real communism" (objectively true)
- "real communism" isn't possible, and is at best a ludicrous pipe dream, making the above point moot

Not sure what's more annoying - communist shills selling a fantasy, or people arguing as though the fantasy is any kind of credible threat. It won't ever be. :D

The only people who praise China for being communist are dumb tankies. Their economic system and even social system is in no way communist.

China is in a weird one in some ways, It offers both the worst of insane predatory capitalism being backed up by a brutal authotarian communist regime, very interesting in many ways.

Revolutions need hunger, that is true, but they also need guns. As long as PLA stands by the CCP, the chinese citizens have zero changes of succesful uprising. However, if the heads of the PLA start to think that the Mandate of Heaven has expired, it might indeed be time for some Warlord Era: Chinese Boogaloo once again.

the problem isn’t food supply. There are a half dozen bulk freighters full of soybeans and grain sitting at anchor off Hong Kong right now. The problem is the same with the oil and LNG. There’s nobody to offload them. The distribution network, the logistics, are severed. People miss what Wuhan is. Yes it’s a second tier city. But itis one of the critical hubs of China’s hub and spoke transport network. The US equivalents would be Atlanta or Cincinnati. All the main road, rail and air routes create a nexus there. Wuhan is a critical link between Hong Kong the busiest port, where everything comes in, and Beijing, where it gets used.

China doesn’t have to cut back channel deals for food. They have plenty of front channel deals. A large part of Trumps China trade deal involved US food going to China. The problem is distribution. The thousands of people that need to touch it to get it to market. And GrubHub ain’t delivering!

Another irresponsible moron:

UK prisoner identified:

Eh, should have left the degenerate to rot in Thailand. I knew he'd either be a sex offender or a junkie/junkie supplier.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai is expected to be postponed:

hopefully Putin executes her for that. i can't understand these people, you are infected with a extremely contagious and deadly disease, you are in the best possible place to treat you and make sure you are safe and it's only a temporary stay, once you are healthy again you will be allowed to leave so why the fuck are you running away and putting other peoples live at risk? fucking despise these disgusting people.

Starting to feel more at home with the Internet now It was getting lonely, TBH
A little more anti-American propaganda a little bit more white guilt and some more Praising emperor pooh. And it will like home again. Yes I know that the Chinese Government is rounding people up in death camps and quarantining untold amounts of people essentially leaving them to starve . And probably sending out the death squads hugs and wellness police to round up the sick and already dead to mass incinerate the bodies and things are all around a total nightmare over there. I just miss the people defending communism. they always seem to disappear whenever the shit hits the fan in one of these countries . Yeah sure most first world and western nations would’ve handled this Outbreak in a far more reasonable and understanding way . Instead of setting up open air death camps. Arresting doctors warning the public and various other ridiculous schemes simply so the they can seem like supor pwor nuwbaw one. I’m not mad at the Internet or the Chinese people or the government . I’m just sick of Hearing about how China is going to become the next great America an empire to rival any others and what a glorious nation it is despite the fact they can’t even handle an outbreak of a super flu let alone indoor plumbing .

It's not that abnormal, actually. Even in China (and Singapore, if that lends more credibility) symptoms and severity reported were widely varied. The problem is how quickly it spreads and how hard it is to catch if you're not looking for it.
