I'm just going to those this out there and say that, in a clinical setting, everything we shove up a nose like that has to be sterilized before use. It comes in a gamma-sterilized pouch. You CANNOT sterilize wood in any other way. Alcohol/iodine/magicalchemicals cannot create a sterile environment. Finger cots aren't even sterile once you open the box.
