couple of things to unpack
-the fact they're saying it implies they do care.
-two of those three failed without the help of the white man, if they want to blame anyone blame Women.
-plenty of good movies featuring LGBT, woman or minorities have been showered in praise by the white devil, for example Moonlight or Anihilation-maybe the movies are just mediocre or bad on their own terms
-Speaking of Annihilation the fact none of these sort have either seen or it or comment on it buries their credability. I know they havnt has because no ones seen it and Dobson never watches anything for grown ups.
-whose this 'we'? a reviewer has enough to success to carry clout then clearly they have relavence to the dialogue.
-By this logic why would anyone listen to the posters about more succesful movies such as Iron man or Batman.
-Are they seriously saying they enjoyed Charlies angels? because hahahaha holy shit.
-Dobson complaining about a lack a diversity in movie critique is absurd because the movies themselves are either rehashes or repeat performances of other movies. Charlies angels is particulary bad because it's the third remake of a franchise over 30 years old.

See, I actually really liked Annihilation. It wasn't nearly as good as the book which goes into detail as to why the team is all women (the government have been testing different combinations of team members to see how Area X reacts) , which makes perfect sense in the context of the book. The problem with the film, as far as Dobson and his ilk are concern, is that the film isn't about Grrl Powah! It's just four women doing stuff like adults instead of mouthpieces for some half-baked ideology. It's not on the required reading list because it doesn't check all the boxes. It's too equal and not empowering enough. The movie is good, but gets ignored for the same reasons. (I'd still recommend it though).

I sort of like the early 2000s Charlie Angels but it may just be nostalgia and Lucy Liu. Would it qualify for diversity today since they replaced a white lady with an Asian lady, but nobody makes a big deal about it?

This falls under the heading 'Not even wrong'. Especially since while it's true that "pocs" are underrepresented in school shootings, what does end up happening with black kids that might be so inclined to do any shooting at all in inner cities at least is they join a gang and go do their shooting out in the neighborhood instead. (Also, spoiler alert, in the 80s they had to start putting metal detectors in some inner city schools because people were bringing knives AND guns to school. Dunno if they still have them but if they do it explains why inner-city schools aren't shot up all the time).

Not to mention whites are a huge chunk of the population, and the testosterone makes the boys more aggressive than girls, so yeah, most girls don't want to do a shooting. It's got nothing to do with "coping better" than straight white males. Bullying in and of itself doesn't cause school shootings. Bullying antisocial psychopaths or narcissists (or antisocial psychopathic narcissists) DOES.

I'd just like to add for the record: Roger Elliot (not a school shooting but still) was only HALF white (half azn), the Virginia Tech shooter was Korean, and while not a school shooting, the Washington DC snipers were both black, so I'd love to know how these people's PoC status "helped them cope better than a white straight male". It's like dude, that is NOT how "coping" works. There's a bajillion factors, including mental health status, and whether a person has a nihilistic mentality, or whether the person has sociopathic antisocial tendencies, which have absolutely nothing to do with race.

Yeah I’m gonna call bull. If I recall a year or two back there was a study on school shootings that found the exact opposite: when you count every gang shootout and drive by that occurs within in a school zone or police fire fight that is taken to a campus, minority school shooters far out number the white one statistically speaking. There’s simply an over representation of white school shooters in the media because news reports have crafted a very specific profile on what a "school shooting" should look like (namely a white dude with a crazy manifesto attacking an area that typically has low crime) and since white people are the majority of the US population they’re more likely to check off all those marks.

And bull-fucking-shit that minorities are somehow magically immune to being batshit violent or acting out violently because they’re oppressed. Tell that to the south side of Chicago. That study just scream confirnation bias. I bet the chick who wrote it has never even spoken to a minority before.

I still hope some will straight up ask Dobbo in what way he believes he has he actually grown as a person.

I see no evidence of emotional growth, and fairly little artistic growth in that time (in fact, his cartoony stuff is vastly better than the traced trash he's doing now). He faked his way into the inflation fandom by pretending to be a teen lesbian girl (side-note: thirteen years ago, it was STILL underage lesbians with this guy).

Instead of learning a lesson thirteen years ago after getting exposed as a fraud and burned, he's only doubled-down, triple-downed and a-hundred-trillion-downed since then. Glomming onto any and all current fandoms or cause of the day, forcing his way into it to make his "art," just to get asspats and empty praise, and then moving on when he is finally pushed out or the popularity of the thing dies out, or the next new popular thing comes along. We've seen the same cycle play out over and over again.

He is still hateful. He is still arrogant. He is still petulant. He is still childish and immature. He is still adverse to any and all advice, criticism, or challenges about his "work," no matter how kind or well-intentioned.
