I believe CPS is involved.
How many people saw her videos showing abuse? It was shared all over the place. Jayden said she even showed it to her therapist. Among all of those viewers, I’m sure there was at least 1 person and likely many that contacted CPS about her. CPS realizing how public the situation has become and the number of people aware and complaining about the behavior, probably even prioritized the investigation.
I wonder if Amy was on the offense with the CPS workers and told them to “fuck off, they are my kidses and I’ll beat them if I see fit”. She’s dumb enough and narcissistic enough to be that way with them. CPS wouldn’t take too kindly with that and like with YouTube, she would dig her hole deeper and deeper if she took the same tone and attitude with them as she did on her response videos.

In the state of Oregon they will screen the report- this categorizes it into information only, referral to different services, no abuse or neglect, and possible abuse or neglect. Then comes the assessment, which is where they decide if the child is safe in the home, and if the child is unsafe they’ll make what’s called a safety plan like asking the abusive caregiver to move out or placing the children with relatives. This all takes longer than, you know, two days.

I have known people who had CPS called on them out of revenge. No matter how innocent you are, it is a stressful situation, and it is not a case of one talk and everything is fine. No one with any common sense or emotional intelligence is going to make a video to chastise people right after it happens. You will be angry, frightened, and there will be crying at the very least. It is a time to withdraw from unnecessary social engagement and gather the family for comforting and to reassure the kids that you are handling the situation and that they are not to blame, etc. If the visit really happened (it didn't), her behavior is just not right.

Admittedly, I haven't looked, and I should be ashamed for thinking her reaction was abnormal for her. But it is Amy, so she is lying about something, guaranteed.

Every so often they do have “one talk and everything is fine” incidents but that’s usually due to something like a medical condition that causes excessive bruising (like chemo) so the kids look like they get their asses beat when in reality everything is fine. Those cases can be cleared up pretty quick because all it takes is one or two calls to a doctor to have the doctor explain that yes, this is normal and the abuse allegation is a misunderstanding, although the case usually remains open for I think 60 days you’re not looking at home visits.
This is obviously not one of those outlier cases.

DFS/CPS doesn’t just close a case that quickly. It stays open for a while, even if nothing is found to be wrong. At least that’s how it works in my shithole state.
God I hope this story has a happy ending.

Amy has too many issues that she cannot recover from, so I have a hunch this will not end well. She will be given many hoops to jump through before the state leaves her alone.

I’m sure she’ll be semi or fully in noncompliance and drag it into court instead of just cooperating with DCFS and getting them back in like a week for supervised custody.

Oregon CPS may be especially shitty but given that this case is kinda public and *out there* on the internet, it would make sense for special attention to be given to it.

All of my information about lolcattle gets mixed around, so this may have been discussed beforehand, but does anyone else think it's possible the "we have to move" from way back is because of a CPS investigation or investigation of some kind? It's commonplace for abusers (especially systematic abusers) to move around when the heat turns on.

The Turpins were preparing to move to Oklahoma when they were found out. Oklahoma (IIRC) has shitty CPS and their home-school program is very weak in that nobody ever comes to check on the kids.

The other day (last week?) when Amy was very down, they gathered in a private online-phonesession for around 6 people after Rosie's livestream to discuss how to help her or something. We might have posted about that here. I found interesting, that people actually were friendly with her.

Rosie is live for a short time now, Rosie O'Kelly and what I just hear is the trolls (I assume the people who came for Amy) were not nice to have but useful in the end? Title of the live is "How well do we really know anyone online" and in the chat some reasonable people write about how Amy's behaviour is/was not okay. But most of it seems cleaned up.

Here, she talks about her hatred for the family she came from. She even disowns her brother and 94 year old grandmother. Also, at 43:07, while cooped up in her room, she says that she thinks she "hears" the babies being given their Ty..."vitamins" as part of their nightly routine. I think she may be slightly overdosing them on a Tylenol that causes drowsiness every day. I remember during one of her Costco hauls a package of children's liquid medicine that was big enough for a small village.

Nope. And her only sibling is on probation for meth. They would need to make a determination on whether or not Ali is a threat and/or complicit. If they deemed he was, then they would go to temp foster care.

That's not really here nor there, though. They haven't taken the kids and they won't as long as Amy complies with everything she's going to be mandated to do. I hope their follow up surprise visit happens early in the morning when she's still asleep and the freals are running wild covered in pudding runoff and filth.

There doesnt seem to be anyone locally who would accept that smelly liar as a houseguest. I wouldnt put it past her to threaten suicide to ollie if he doesnt get her out of this mess. I suspect his fear of her trying it is why he has treated her with kid gloves this long.

She was probably all sweetness and light, trying to manipulate just like she does with everyone else. I think she has been down this road at least with dealing with authority. She has probably learned to be all sparkly and kiss ass to them to try and act like she is such a victim and they should see that.
