Why? How is he wrong?I know that, but he also seems to have taken a very catastrophic approach to it. I know he likes trolling and autistic people, but he definitely needs to calm down a bit.

Maybe the real answer is there actually is a problem with all those people.Berkley News article
Coronavirus: Fear of Asians rooted in long American history of prejudicial policies
was written 2.12 but the page wasn't archived so maybe it's not posted here yet.
If the title and the source didn't give it away, some of the main topics of the article are activism, diversity, race and ethnicity.
The horror
"From denigrating social media memes and GIFs to incidents of outright prejudice around the world, many Chinese people, and people of Asian descent perceived to be Chinese, are being avoided and blamed for spreading the pneumonia-causing virus, which originated in Wuhan, China."
According to John A. Powell
"...thinking about the infected and how we can help as a global society is important. He said changing the way we describe people from other cultures and countries is a step in the right direction."
“Sometimes they’re Muslim, sometimes they’re black, sometimes they’re Mexican, sometimes they’re Asian,” powell said. “But there is no them. There’s only us, and we have to figure out how to go forward where everybody belongs and nobody dominates. Not blacks, not whites, not Christians, not Muslims. No group dominates.”
Kumbaya bigots.

Chinese were treated like shit when they first came here and they still managed to attain success. I think they've proven themselves.Maybe the real answer is there actually is a problem with all those people.
Still doesn't mean we should love and accept bat eating or chimpouts and just throw the borders wide open.Chinese were treated like shit when they first came here and they still managed to attain success. I think they've proven themselves.

Those chinks that came before the commies and the ones fleeing the commies? They're ours, they're Americans. Our Chinese gave us chop suey and spring rolls. They don't eat bats. The recent CCP shills can GTFO though.Chinese were treated like shit when they first came here and they still managed to attain success. I think they've proven themselves.
Chinese were treated like shit when they first came here and they still managed to attain success. I think they've proven themselves.
And many other East Asians, also Indians, Jews, Arabs, some Europeans like Italians, Irish, etc.
Every group that is new in a population has always been received with mistrust until they proven themselves to be a productive part of their society. I'm not counting invasions, of course, because that's a different discussion tht we better not got into now.
Most Chinese people are hard working people. This city has Chinese people everywhere, with children who were born here. Fuck, there are a lot of them here in my neighborhood and they have never been in China ever (or were too young when they came here to even remember). Of course, there will always be stupid assholes seeing someone who is Chinese who's never even left the country and say "ah, ah, the plague, kill them!", but it's always a very small group you can count with one hand.
Alternate theory: WuFlu is going to kill u.he's not "wrong" per se. He's reading and interpreting the news in a very hyperbolic way.
Just because something CAN BE a catastrophe doesn't mean it WILL BE one.
We aren't and shouldn't deny that this new CoV strain is dangerous and our body isn't properly trained to react to it like a common flu (hence, why saying "it's not just the flu" is correct), but the conditions in China and the rest of the world aren't the same for our populations. The virus has already left China and it's wild in the world, and we haven't gotten that terrible reaction to it like China did. Why? many factors such as better hygiene and more information. I know I'm washing my hands more often than I used to few months ago, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
One thing you learn when you work on things that involve public and a big number of the population is that you need to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. We have to prepare for, say, an earthquake that is 10M all the time so when a lower scaled one happens, we'll be fine. Most people working for public organizations know this. But that doesn't mean this worst-case scenario will actually happen. The idea that the virus will infect 60% of the population is likely, but not settled on stone, nor it will mean all those people will need to be taken to the hospital. there could be cases of people who actually got the actual CoV and are recovering because their bodies are reacting better. It's not likely, but not entirely impossible. Prepare as though the end of days are coming, but don't assume they will.

BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- An article by President Xi Jinping on the prevention and control of the pneumonia epidemic caused by the novel coronavirus will be published Sunday on Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
The article is the transcript of a speech by Xi, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
The article stresses the importance of securing success in the prevention and control work, pointing out that the outcome of the epidemic prevention and control directly affects people's lives and health, the overall economic and social stability and the country's opening-up.
Resources for treatment, prevention and protection must be sent to the front line of the battle against the epidemic and priority should be given to meet the needs of frontline medical staff and patients, according to the article.

The article underlines the need to safeguard social stability, the promotion of public education and communication, as well as ensuring a stable economic performance.
It also stresses improving the country's emergency management system and capacity of handling urgent, difficult, dangerous and important tasks.

"The article stresses the importance of securing success in the prevention and control work, pointing out that the outcome of the epidemic prevention and control directly affects people's lives and health, the overall economic and social stability and the country's opening-up."
Translation from filibustering to english: the key to reducing a viral infection's damage is making sure people don't get sick.
"All-out efforts should be made to improve the admission and survival rates, and reduce the infection and mortality rates, the article says."
Again, translation to english: to make sure we beat this epidemic we should put efforts into getting less people to get infected and more people to survive infections.
"The article underlines the need to safeguard social stability, the promotion of public education and communication, as well as ensuring a stable economic performance."
We've literally been saying that from day 1. Difference is we also mentioned HOW. I swear to god. It's no wonder they're doing this shit it took them THIS FUCKING LONG to learn this shit? This isn't even the basics, it's the god damned chapter title. Yes Xi. To beat an epidemic you have to minimize infections, maximize survival and ensure the normal functioning of the basic needs (and hopefuly as many non essential parts of society as possible) and to do that people need to be informed and the infrastructure needs to be prepared. Welm done buddy you're getting there a few more months and you might get a gold fucking star. Dear god I thought he was an asshole but now I have to re-think maybe he's just so completely and utterly exceptional he might not even comprehend why the west dislikes him. Are we sure his brain isn't made up of the crayola he's been inserting up his nose?

Still if this thing goes buck wild and infects 60% of the US population and kills around 2% of those infected that's 824,400 people dead
