Been playing ACNL recently and one of my villagers said something dsp would say, so I had to do it.

Your posts are usually on point man so I'll try to be respectful here. I definitely hard disagree on all of these reasons. Phil doesn't really care about anyone else. Kat is realistically a roommate who is married for reasons we likely will never know. It either has something to do with her trauma, or her past situation/person (dave might have been such a hard rebound that she married him or pressured to marriage to feel he was serious and convince herself it wasn't a rebound) or finally maybe she just married him to embed herself so that if he tries to leave her she can walk away more stable financially.

For Phil, he's just gunshy now, the topic of sexualizing things has gotten him in so much hot water in the past and you could see him start to pansy down about it in the last 6mo of Reeeana. As I mentioned before he started referring to all intimacy as "underwear time". Ontop of that he has been caught slapping the vienna on camera so any thing he could play that could bring that up even in light hearted jest is a big nono. Lastly, he may also be subconsciously be driven away from sexually explicit things or things his little walnut considers as much since that is stupidly common amongst people with ED. They avoid the topic.

I don't think hes focused on being a big adult as much as everyone says. He uses those speech patterns to talk down to his audience but realistically I think he walks away thinking all his viewers are schmucks and then sits down to a life that is largely stressful and out of control. He tries to distract himself with his game, with his drink, some tv, and time with kat occasionally.

Yeah that's possible but I wouldn't put it past him to have thrown the importance of it over the fence to a calendar and his lawyer rather than commit it to memory. People in these kinds of situations sometimes literally refuse to remember so its not stuck in their head all day.

I believe you missed the point, Kat's purpose was never about sex or anything meaningful. The role Kat plays in Phil's life is something he can point to as evidence that he's not any of the following;

• An Incel
• NEET
• Autistic
• A child
• A nerd

How many times have you heard "I'm a grown adult, dood! I have a wife!" That's her purpose. Evidence that Phil is an adult that has an adult life and adult relationships. That's it. Phil burying his gout sausage into a live coochie was never the goal. Some people guess it happens once a month, but I seriously doubt him and Kat ever have sex.

consider what he considers his successes, what makes him an adult:
having a wife
having a house

it's about owning things

he doesn't talk about things that require him to not spend money all the time (saving money to build a nest egg, putting money to the business)
he doesn't talk about things that show maturity (real friends, being able to see fake titties without acting like a 14 year old)

being an adult to him is just "buy stuff"

Wholeheartedly agree. Phil, since his layoff, has formulated this self-serving criteria of "adulthood" to cushion the impact of being nearly 30 (at the time) with no job, no relationship and no real prospects. This entire time has been a tooth-and-nail fight to fulfill an arbitrary checklist to impress children and scam money from the daft and irresponsible, all of which will amount to an arrow to the knee. Now that he feels like he's checked every box, he can use that as a pedestal to shout from the rooftops about his pahsitive manly adulthood who allegedly knows how 'life works.'

At first I was gonna say that Phil was the one that orchestrated the whole thing. Having a trophy wife strokes his ego, he gets to use it as an excuse to beg for money (my house, my family!) and he'd be able to finagle his finances by putting stuff in her name. I think yours makes more sense.

Kat probably did rebound and did want some level of commitment, security and stability. Phil bragging about his house and his money and he probably swooned her with his talk of love and being his soulmate because he was desperate to find anyone to replace Leanna. Then she realized he's a chump and full of shit but if they get married she at least has that comfort and stability. She can work part time, do whatever she wants, and stick around until the money runs out or she finds someone better. And she gets half of Phil's stuff so GG.

I'm sure we've all heard him mention his 11-year legacy countless times, as well as his totally mature and/or adult house, wife, and "family." As others are saying, it's all part of a precariously fragile LARP so that Phil can pretend he's not a terminally asocial hermit with a body like a sack of potatoes and a repulsive personality. It's honestly incredible how his mentality has led him so far down this road. He's a beggar who (poorly) plays video games all day for literal children and the mentally infirm. This is why he so desperately claims that his content is "positive and interactive" (which it is not) and he constantly needs to remind his audience that he's a mature adult (which he is not). An honest and self-reflective thought would result in an irreparably shattered ego.

It could just be flexing on the wheelchairs too, but at this point I think the majority of his being is tied to the image he has of himself, and if that image were to fracture (combined with serious money troubles from the bankruptcy, continuing tax payment plans, CT foreclosure, etc) the result would be disastrous for him. It would be absolutely hilarious to hear him attempt to talk his way out of it to his own ego.

At one time he was successful and had a relatively attractive, much younger girlfriend. After he became an Internet joke (and his recent rant shows how much that bothers him) and the girlfriend left, he married Khet and changed his gimmick. Now he was suddenly a mature adult, a proven success, and smarter/better than all the "kids" who mock him daily. It was his defense against all the criticism and he still uses those same words in many rants. Why Khet married him we'll never know, but she's had a fucked-up life to date so who knows what goes through her head?

Edit: The announcement; is the "guy" he was talking about who met and moderated for him in the past that then joined detractors circles... it WASN'T JLee... and Phil's practically pissing himself silly over it. He's going on how JLee is "this guy who took some drama, and made it about himself." Nevermind JLee made a video and gave receipts about meeting Phil and having modded for him. So Phil trying to rewrite history again.

At least this didn't cost $2000.

Edit-Edit: Well, people were first thinking AireaLord, that apparently wasn't it; but now JLee isn't it either. I have a hard time believing there's a high number of people who met Phil in real life and have modded for him. I don't have the autism to go digging, but have a hard time believing it hasn't been either of the two listed above.
