The difference is that previously your show had to be "Good" and "competently written" to attract an audience. Arguably at an even higher level than one aimed at the normal non-diverse audiences. Thanks largely to queers and the writer's strike (I repeat myself), media companies realized that you could make almost as much money making low-effort pandering shit, but have it written by fresh-out-of-college students making fresh-out-of-college wages who have no savings, no contacts, no pull, and no fucking clue about "representation", "how unions actually work" or "contracts".

It irritates me on a deep and probably autistic level to see that he seems to do his lettering by hand before scanning. Look at all those scanner artifacts on the text, assuming they are scanner artifacts and he didn’t just run a sharpen filter over the whole comic a dozen times or something. It still amazes me that he can be this resistant to change and improvement, even though it probably shouldn’t.

I'm sure someone suggested that he letter digitally, possibly with even suggesting the site that can turn your handwriting into a font, and Dobson reacted to it like he does any implication his work isn't perfect: insulted the person making the suggestion and vowed to eternally letter by hand.

I fixed her up in Mspaint.

All I really did was remove unnecessary lines lowered the mouth and moved her left pupil a little. The nose bothered me as well so I changed it to something that fits better with Dobson's style.
