has vcr actually talked about regretting hrt? i don't follow their personal accounts but i've never seen any hints of that, and i haven't seen them flip-flop much about their identity.

Actually, I was chatting with a friend about this person just the other day and we came to the conclusion that it may just be that Raichel is just so narcissistic that she turns her every flaw into a fetish because she can't admit to herself that she could improve herself in any way. She attempts to reframe these things as sexy/desirable through her art but her art style is just so fugly that she fails miserably every time.

eh... i don't really agree. if they haven't expressed regret, then i highly doubt it's just a fetish.

the distress that would be brought on by transitioning without dysphoria would far outweigh anything they'd gain from fulfilling a fetish. considering how much they seem to have mellowed, i'd wager they're more content with their body than before. and more power to 'em if that's the case.

doesn't mean they don't fetishize certain aspects of nb/trans people/bodies but i don't think that's all there is to it.

i don't buy that someone with that fetish that actually medically transitioned wouldn't experience some kind of distress/dysphoria if they do so without actually being trans.

a person who's trans can also have a fetish related to an aspect of transgenderism/trans bodies/etc. the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Personally, I think it’s a lil’ of column A, a lil’ of column B for them. They’ve come to accept the way they look, but they also fetishize it too (at least to some degree). Which one came first, I can’t be sure.

She has never explicitly said it, however, I wouldn't doubt it if she does. When she first started trooning out, her goal was to become (surprise, surprise lmao) a cute femboy after taking T. Of course, we all know how well that turned out for her. At the very least, she has indicated that she occasionally feels some modicum of self-loathing regarding her transformation into the blob.

If she does regret her transition, I highly doubt she will ever state such publicly, as she would lose a lot of her internet clout due to how taboo it is to express regret over such in the woke crowd.

My lateral incisors both never came in and I got corrective implants; they're expensive but if they're rich it doesn't matter at all; afaik the only limit is that you have to be fully grown to get them. If they've waited a while then they're probably gonna have to graft extra bone onto the mandible up front to make the base wide enough to drill into but its definitely feasible.

Point being I can't see any reason for not correcting the teeth at this point besides just not wanting to.

it's certainly not impossible, but i'm not gonna conclude it's the case based on fairly sparse evidence. reading some of the comments on that art in your second link honestly confirms for me how they've chilled out over time. yeah, they could be hiding or denying their regret or whatever but i honestly get the feeling they're more okay with themselves now than before. and... even if it stems from a fetish, if it makes them happier i really don't give a shit. you guys might not agree, but personally i don't care at all about anyone's fetishes as long as no one's getting hurt.

as i said earlier, the fact VCR seems to have chilled out significantly (based on what someone else in the thread said) could be an indication of their being more comfortable with themselves, at least in some respect. i remember reading someone's personal story about how transitioning turned him from a super angry person into someone who was much more emotionally stable.

i certainly prefer Opal without the facial hair. though, at the very least, i will give VCR credit for going with anatomically believable hermaphrodites that are a part of the character's species and not just dicks grafted onto supermodels or whatever. though these characters do get much better treatment/more attention than the majority of VCR's blatant fetish-fuel characters.

they do still have the shapeshifting, but haven't been drawn in the alternate forms in a while. the creatures they are are called polumorph(im) if you want to check tags/gallery folders to see more recent stuff. they're genuinely cool creatures, in my opinion, and designs/concepts like theirs are why i still follow VCR.

VCR has expressed regret over aspects of their transition before.

I would attribute a large portion of their mellowing out on the fact that they are now on medications for their mental illnesses, which they were not when they were younger, more than I would on any contentment regarding their transition. Though I don't at all reject the idea that may help, I would definitely attribute it more to actually being medicated.

They're also under less stress now: They dropped out of college and moved back in with their family, alleviating both social and monetary stress, granted they're back in school now to be a pharmacist, but they're older now and again, more medicated now, which likely makes it easier to handle the stress of schooling, though I'll also note they've been out of class for a while dealing with health issues again. Living with their parents again negates monetary stress re: rent and food. And people who are less stressed tend to be less aggressive.

That said I agree, I don't care why they've chilled out, even if it's fetish related, so long as no one is being hurt.

tl;dr Their transition may be helping a little, but I would say they've chilled out more due to medication and less life stress.
