If there is one consistent thing that I have noticed about ContraPoints over the years, it's that they're very indecisive.

Even if we just include the time after she decided to "reboot" her channel in 2016, she's gone from identifying as a male cross-dresser, to "genderqueer", to "trans-femme", to a "probably pretty gay" trans woman, to a bisexual trans woman, to a "woman who dates men", and now, to a lesbian.

That's just within the span of (less than) 4 years.

If we include all of the characters that she's created on top of that; an alarming number of which seem to reflect a sincerely held (albeit contradictory, when viewed in juxtaposition) set of convictions, the whole spectacle is made even sadder. It's like we're witnessing a person slowly fracture into a series of disassociative identities, each imbued with their own flavor of bewilderment and trepidation.

It's honestly painful to watch unfold.

Edit: Contra's videos has really gone down recently. I remember their old videos being pretty enjoyable but their new ones are too focused on themselves and their dating life/sexuality. I know Contrapoint's fans love that shit but that stuff is too navel-gazing for my tastes because Contra really isn't that interesting for me to want to sit through videos talking about their sex life.

Contra's performance art phase was quite entertaining. The glorified vlogs ... not so much.

I suspect one of three things may be happening here:
1. Contra is down to being a one troon band, thus lacking the extra troonpower required to make full-blown productions.
2. This is a tactical decision made for reasons only known to Contra ... maybe they want to lose the cisgender audience that started following as a result of their earlier work.
