Has anyone been reading about Ronica Froese and her miniature "service horse" that she took on a plane? The horse (Fred) has a Facebook page with a load of videos on it called 'Fred-Mini Service Horse'. Apparently he is direct-to-retrieval trained which means he can pick stuff up. There are some videos on the FB page of his "training" which seems to involve her throwing something and him picking it up if he feels in the mood. Ronica says she has an "incurable autoimmune disease" which means that she sometimes needs this horse to pick things up for her....

Since this thread is quiet I may aswell dump
someone in here. Before she goes through her next cycle of drama. I am going to (quickly) introduce you to a lower level scammer I have been following for years, from back when I dabbled as a blogger. (can’t believe I never brought her up before)

This sums her up well & better than I can.

Basically she was a once huge fatty who got a gastric bypass. One time she got a (real) medical emergency of a stomache ulcer perforation, complications from her bypass. Which required surgery and an extensive hospital stay. She then got introduced to shed loads of opiates through this & some other illnesses she claims. So basically since then many times she has purposely caused herself stomache ulcer perforations / strangulated hernias / whatever else emergency by purposely taking medications that are not good with a bypass and fucking with her healing. To get drugs of course.

Her husband, Dan also doesn’t work because muh fibro. But he has a gaming addiction and is basically lazy and does nothing. She complained about this many times on her blog.
His own sister said as much, apparently they had been sponging off their own families for years. But his sister had enough and called him out once they foreclosed on their house and she had turned to grifting off twitter and her followers.
She’s cashed in on her own daughters rape and her sons autism on her blog for the asspats and she is frequent GFM / send money to my paypal scammer. She would constantly claim no money for food/gas/bills then put new items like makeup on her instagram.
Both of her kids got taken off her and put in care for a while because of her messed up ways
She got done for shop lifting aswell, which she earned her a nice prison stay. And scammed friends who let her stay with them too before she got in prison. Even having heroin in her friends house. Nice way to repay the hospitality.
she also claimed that the the husband was violent to her for asspats on the internet and set up a GFM for it. This time it didn’t work and got a lot of backlash for it.

Sorry I introduced her late. she is currently “Clean” or should I say tapering off her addiction. She is nice responsible pet owner letting them get into these packets. which appear to be naxolone. The pets she immediately got almost out of getting out of prison, she constantly has many pets she cannot afford.

To be fair she now has a job but appears to be scamming the Mennonite church. She was never particularly religious before so either she found god when she was in prison or she is scamming them. Which is more likely.
She is quiet at the moment but she will soon likely come back to blogging and I am sure grifting too. I hope you enjoyed the retrospective ride, as I did before.

All of these spoonie support groups are filled with hotshot diagnosticians. Low blood pressure? Addison's. Stomach problems? GP. Anything at all abnormal? CHRONIC LYME.

If you actually have, e.g., EDS and want to find a support group you'll be diagnosed with like 20 other things within a week. It's not really that surprising that people go off the rails so quickly and make chronic illness their entire identity.

yep I’ve been aware of her for well over decade. It’s a shame her blog isn’t up cause that was lolcow worthy.

she’d say her and her husband are so disabled and sick they can’t work yet she’d make posts about dumpster diving to feed the millions of pets. People would point out its probably thrown out cause it’s been recalled but she didn't care. She would also review sex toys and write long posts about her sex life with her husband. The one who was so disabled he can’t work because of super serious fibro. She at least did paid blogging before she turned to drugs. Service dogs I understand, for people who actually have disabilities, especially if those service dogs are trained by some sort of actual organization. Munchies turning their already-owned dogs into service dogs is a sham and it’s stupid that those dogs are considered to be the same as a trained service dog (at least from an outside perspective).

No, your 8 year old mutt who knows one or two commands is not the equivalent of a dog trained from puppyhood to perform a multitude of tasks. They all just use their dogs as another “look at me and how sick I am” prop.

And none of them are ever too sick to care for their dogs. Seems to me that if you’re too sick to walk or pick up things or perform the most basic of life’s tasks, having a service dog that requires a lot of care and ongoing training is a pretty low priority. How do they walk them and bathe them and pick up all the dog shit when they seemingly can‘t even take care of basic responsibilities without having some sort of medical crisis?

Assuming a mini horse could really provide the services of a typical (legit) service animal, like a seeing eye dog, it seems like a mini horse would be more practical because the have more than twice the lifespan of the average golden retriever or dog in that size group. With a mini horse an actual handicapped person might only have to replace/rebond with their service animal once in their lifetime. But that's just lifespan, I have no idea what a mini horse can really do.

But the entitled idiot in the article... how convenient for her to have gotten her first service mini horse 14 months before she got sick. I guess if you buy the service animal, the illness will come. Also, if someone is healthy enough to train a mini horse, they just might be too healthy to need a service animal.

It’s been a few years since I’ve actually hung out with her.. and it was only a few times because she’s the worstttt to be around. She always said she was constantly throwing up, out of breath, could hardly sit up, etc. so I wanted to see for myself... we hung out for several hours each time. I’ve never seen her throw up. She sat up just fine for hours. Her breathing was just fine (she never shut the fuck up). ONLY talks about her medical bullshit.. and never anything new. Listening to her talk is the same as reading her little medical page. We have a ton of mutual fb friends, and no one can even mention getting a cold without her chiming in like “I know how you feel! Being sick sucks!“ It’s impossible to talk about yourself for even a second without her interrupting and making sure the convo is only about her. She does that weird squinting thing on purpose. She’d forget to do it and then would catch herself and squint again. The only “medical” thing that ever happened was when she’d just stand up and say “brb gotta go take my butt pill!”

My experience with Morgan began a couple years after she graduated high school and was fully into her sick routine but not quite as deep as she is now. She used a wheelchair and cane in public but looked (and acted) normal. This was before the neck brace and most of the tubes but she was well on her way to collecting any diagnosis she could-often times meaning she claimed to have symptoms and would insinuate she should just tell doctors she has it because she had all the symptoms.

During my time with her and her mother, it was obvious they love all this attention. Laurie was rallying gift cards and mail for Morgan. When I was with them, she received no less than two or three gift cards each time I saw here for things like Victoria’s Secret or whatever would “keep her spirits up” as Laurie would say plus other random cards and letters. Laurie was soliciting this mail from random groups or posts on her Facebook wall to cheer Morgan up but it was never at a time she was critically ill or something of that nature.This was before the basement apartment was renovated for her to permanently live in for free by Home Depot but I believe once they decided to have that massive renovation, they committed to this completely in their minds and it was all or nothing.

I see this as a weird MBP. I truly believe Morgan thinks she has all these bizarre illnesses and symptoms. I think she hasgotten so deep that she truly believes she is in capable of holding a job and having a normal life when in fact, she could be doing all those things. Laurie has not helped this idea and while I do not believe she is doing anything to physical to harm Morgan but I do not believe she is helping the mental and emotional aspects. Morgan should have never been able to live on disability since the day she turned 18 when she was still capable of even having a part time job or taking classes from home. I think once they saw how much attention being sick was, they just embraced this life and took anything Morgan said and ran with it.

They buried any chance of a future for her before even looking for more answers, if they truly believed she was sick. When I first met her all those years ago, she was not the way she was now but she still never spoke about what she would do when she was better or an aspirations with her life. The Medical Journal she created gave her the attention and validation she wanted until it turned against her. She’s never talked about any goals or even possibilities of remission. Her mentality is always,Im going to be sick forever And Laurie seems to share it.Unlike the parents that put stuff in their kids tubes, I believe Laurie and Morgan are just both messed up in the head and don’t realize if Morgan started volunteering, socializing, getting up to do some exercises-she’s capable ofdoing much,much more than she realizes. Hell if she can spend 24/7 on social media and making her stupid “music”, why can’t she take online courses?

Unlike dogs, horses can't be reliably trained to not shit and piss everywhere.. Even under the ADA, the animal can be denied access to spaces if it isn't trained or is behaving like it isn't trained. So unless they want a horse that provides the "service" of showing off on social media, a horse isn't a very practical service animal.

You can use them pretty much everywhere. They're only for blind people though. They have like a 350 degree field of vision so they're better than dogs about not getting their handler run over by cars.
