I would be interested in seeing how he gets new fans, from what it looks on here, people tend to fade out or get sick of him, but he seems to have achieved a sort of equilibrium. I'd love to study the life cycle of a fan from start to finish, to see what really goes on in there. The appeal, the taper, then the revulsion. It's like eating nothing but pizza for a while. I also wonder what all his filibustering is for, does he genuinely believe that that many new people come in every stream that he has to tell them all the whole prestream spiel? Or is it more like a call center worker? Just sort of on auto pilot reading from a script he knows by heart. The construct is fascinating, I wish I knew of this a while back, to be able to watch mental illness fester like this. I mean, he has faculties, even at this point he still makes more than most people, despite his spending habits, but it just looks so... Soul wearying. Is there joy in there? Does he sincerely believe he is living the dream? It makes me think of those old organ grinder monkies that are just one snotty kid away from losing it and biting someone's face.
I genuinely hope he is happy in his marriage. Everyone deserves some happiness, and even at the doorstep of bankruptcy, his wife feels safe and secure enough to only work part time, maybe she actually like that sort of life? Phil probably let's her keep her paycheck, he strikes me as the beta but hiding in an alpha skin type. Working 24 hours a month and doing some household chores is relatively little to do for a large roof over your head, your choice of entertainment, and a partner you only have to interact with a few hours a day.
He looks so unhealthy, as someone that works in healthcare, I can literally see the future ailments creeping up on him, and his lifestyle will only compound that. He is getting perilously close to the point where lifestyle changes and exercise will no longer help. I've seen his little... Hug... Pillow... Thing that he sits on on the couch, and I've noticed his waddle in his older videos where he moved, he probably does have a back injury of some sort, but compressing the spine for the 12+ hours a day he does it has done it no favors. In his defense a car accident, even a minor one, can fuck your back up for the rest of your life. But most people... You know. Get those managed with therapy, and eventually surgery. Also, I think I read on here that he claimed to lift? His arms and chest tell a different story. His arms do that sort of flabby fat grandma arm thing. There is no muscle mass in there, so to him, lifting groceries literally is a heavy duty exercise. Which is why he announces that he does it. We all do it. It's part of the whole living thing. But I suspect that he is generally winded by the time he reaches the front door from his car. His body is literally atrophying.
Now that I've read most of the threads about him on here, I can't help but pity him. His lifestyle of path of least resistance has lead him to a point where it is collapsing on top of him. That must feel so defeating and crushing. People have committed suicide for less.
Sorry for rambling, this is all just so... Fascinating.
