I think you nailed that one, Sis. I also picked up on the "counselor speak" when A-me started talking about "Communication" and becoming more aware of yelling not being an optimum tool for interacting with small humans. Then she also talked about her deficits as a child in language acquisition, and the pinny dropped for me.She's starting to use the sort of language one would learn in Stop Beating Your Kids classes.
I have to admit, I felt a small spark of compassion in my long dead, dark heart. A-me certainly had an uphill battle and her not having been parented explains to me her total ignorance of how to be a parent. If parenting was never modeled to her, it is certainly a challenge. I soon got over any sympy I vaguely felt by looking at her ridiculous headgear.
I am guardedly optimistic that she is actually getting some parenting classes. It can only help the ferals and slave if she is indeed getting counseling. Her BABIES are already language delayed and their IEP's will look just like Moms.
