That's typical ad code regardless of provider. He definitely tried to add a new ad service to monetize the site more aggressively. I briefly ran banner ads from a smaller provider after AdSense dropped us and they aggressively did pop-ups, pop-unders, interstitials, etc despite specifically asking for nothing but banners.

When Skullmund was created, Jeffrey had joined and was a member for maybe a month or so? But then it turned out he was just "Spying" on us, and reporting back what we were talking about to the SA mods. They then banned a couple of us for .. uh.. leaving SA I guess?

Anyway the dudes a huge dork that imparts himself way too much into SA drama

Given that he's the closest they've had to a code guy for awhile, I keep wondering if he's the one who played with the banner ad code so it automatically removes any banner linking to Kiwi Farms while still charging the $30 fee for posting the ad.

Either he or Richard did that. I'm kinda going out on a limb here too, but I suspect there was already code in place to autoblock ads in this fashion. SA used to have a big problem with people posting ads that were just Amazon affiliate links going to some random product, with a banner image designed to be as loud and disruptive as possible, and you had little wars going on between ad buyers competing for those sweet, sweet goon clicks.

Yes. I don't think she confused the terms though -- I genuinely believe that she thinks filing a 1099 on behalf of a contractor/employee constitutes a contract, because she does not actually know anything about businesses, or running one. I mean I may be a district court judge for the state of new york, but you don't have to be a judge to use google and figure out what almost the IRS tells you themselves.

I'm not an expert on contract employees, but I do believe it's illegal, as you said, to withhold pay beyond a normal pay period. In this case, per her own posts, it would be a week. So withholding pay for 2 months and thinking this is okay or acceptable shows how little they care about the people they want to work for them, or how little they know about the basics of running a "business."

All that would be forgivable, if Logan didn't constantly emphasize to people how much of a "businesswoman" she is and what an expert she is. There was a time when SA would see through such a paper thin shtick and call the person out, but alas, this is [current year].

If you’re not an idiot you’d set it up to avoid accepting redirected links in your ads (and verify content) because that’s a sure fire way to spread malware, but this is SA so the answer to your question is “probably nothing”

I think it was Gnarlyhotep who got the site in trouble because he'd ban somebody then open up their profile page and obsessively F5 until he saw the "banned" message disappear, and once it did, he'd ban them again before they'd made a single post. It was supposed to be funny and woke or something.

His fall from grace was great. He actually tried to register and become a poster on Skullmund after he was disgraced from SA, but like the entirety of Skullmund users were people who hated him for banning them constantly. I am maybe a little gay for enjoying that so much, but I was one of the posters at the top of his shitlist for a long time.

Well I guess I ended up on every mod starting with Ralps shitlist at some point or another. I think I have real problems with forum moderators who think they are authority figures. Or maybe I am just a huge prick, I dunno, the juries still out on that one i guess

If anyone needs a doxxing though, it's Jose. Guy is a literal proud welfare defrauder who has bragged multiple times about how he scams his social worker and pretends to find jobs to apply for, then throws them in the trash as soon as they leave.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bert doxxed either, a self-righteous shitstain bernieboi who for some reason thinks that makes him a good person. But for some reason, a lot of these bizarre fruits think their personal morality and character can be substituted by the politics they loudly proclaim to be disciples of rather than what they actually, yknow, do.
