Their CGI always and still looks terrible. Even Japan hasn't made it work.
Land of the Lustrous disagrees with your assessment, there are some good CGI shows, but since they need that the artists go at it from a different perspective unlike usual animation style, it takes a fairly good team to make them work.
In the case of RWBY the CGI is not that terrible because at least on the first and second seasons allows for some decent (some would say very good) fight scenes.
But if I'm honest fight scenes need a good animator and a good storyboard to make them really shine. One Punch Man is a good example of this.
Volume 3 is genuinely trash. It seriously trashes any bit of coherency the show had in favor for derailing the entire plot just to contrive situations to kill off some characters for no reason. It took 3-4 years of people complaining for the writers to bother to even give more than a passing acknowledgement than the characters died, and it was still stupid and pointless cause their deaths were still meaningless. It doesn't matter if Monty Oum planned the show out exactly as it happened that doesn't change the fact that Volume 3 onward sucks. The reason people aren't satisfied is because the people writing the show are incompetent.
Yeah Vic was accused of rape, pedophilia, harassing people, and being an uncontrollable sex pest who preyed on underage girls and used the law to try to stop it. That's clearly just him using his White Male Privilege to "silence critics". The people who have accused Vic still have not shown even a shred of evidence over a year later and you want to side with those people? The people who threaten and harass anyone who dares not believe Vic is Satan incarnate? Any white guy who talks about "white male privilege" is automatically a pathetic loser in my books. As if reviewing a Disney movie naked wasn't enough proof this cuck already was.
The issue with volume 3 is a bit more nuanced, but I have explained it before with a very easy comparison, RWBY is like One Piece, if One Piece had one tenth of the chapters it has with the same amount of plot (or more like attempting to have the same amount of plot), didn't develop it's characters and had better animated fights.
The problem is that the charm of One Piece comes from all the things RWBY doesn't have and for that reason most of RWBY ends up feeling lackluster, with a crap load of potential but so lackluster you don't want to see it because it ends up being depressing how badly they fucked up in both the format and plot progression.
If Vic gets through appeals, all this shit needs to be added. It's proof of continuing damage thanks to the defendants.
Agreed, in part, it would be good to show that people are still interfering with his contracts but only if it can be traced back to the defendants. Because that could just be an idiot trying to stroke her imaginary dick and posting a wet dream she had. In my opinion that is more likely than them actually doing something.
