I think I've seen this posted on the subreddit a long while ago. It just seems to be someone who shares resemblance with Vinny holding a duck, so of course it would be posted with a caption like "this is Vinny." Wonder if he'd actually own a duck some day in the future, though I believe they're a hassle to maintain...

I just noticed the gray in the dude's beard. At least I can't say that I'm the only one to get that wrong.

Also, when does he usually read his dream journal. Got any stream links with timestamps to them. I'm super interested in shit like this.

I can't even read his chat anymore because of how exceptional and predictable they all are. They do that shit constantly and reading any of it for too long of a time makes me mad at the internet. There was a House Flipper garden update stream a while back and at one point people were spamming their pride emotes, yelling "FUCK TERFS" because one of the objectives was to roll out turf grass and then demanding the mods ban the people telling them to shut up. It didn't even have anything to do with actual TERFs, all it took was hearing a homophone for them to start foaming at the mouth and calling people transphobic. I blame that cow Hbomberguy for hosting Jerma after the Mermaids DK64 charity stream. It's not the sole reason for why it's so bad now, but it certainly didn't help any.

As for which chat is worse, I think at this point they're about the same. I'd see people complain about too many OwO furries in Vinesauce and all of the pride heart spamming troons in Jerma's chat, but now there seems to be enough of a crossover in their audiences that they're both equal parts troon/furry/antifa, with often times all of those attributes being rolled into the same user. As their audiences continue to grow, more and more people of their ilk will join and make the chat experience an even bigger clusterfuck.

tl;dr: just watch the VODs on your own time instead and save yourself the headache of even looking at the chat.

There was a trippy game where at one point you run away from your inner demons and some of them are politically tinted like running away from bigotry, though from what I could tell the chat moved pretty fast and it didn't turn into a huge drama storm cause the text describing the inner demons switched pretty quickly. That being said I don't usually read the chat unless I type something myself and my timezone only allows me to watch the later halves of his streams so I may have missed something bigger.

I'd argue the issues with non-Vinny streamers on Vinesauce is that they take the spillage from people who got fed up with Vinny or wanted to be more hipster. If you look at people like BrutalMoose who arguably have the same energy as most of Vinesauce, his audience is vastly more grounded and political/sexual bullshit is rarely brought up, despite him being gay, arguably transsexual, and somewhat of a furry.

It's kind of amazing how a team of streamers who never engage with one another can still have so much shit in common.

I've poked around in the discord a bit, it's honestly not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be, at least from what I see but I normally log on during low traffic hours. There are some pretty cool people in there, however I have seen two or three spergs. There's this one edgy guy with a negated pic of a Siberian husky (I think the old smiledog pic?) Who's kind of annoying but mostly harmrless. The rest is just overly excitable people. Honestly I'd hate modding a discord, it sounds like volunteering at daycare.

The discord is basically a rotting corpse of what it used to be in 2016, though. But I'm happy to hear that the shithole is getting somewhat better, although posting there is the same as going on tumblr at times. And the VC is either dead silent or full of shit, when there's anything at all,that is.

Oh the Discord. The rules there can be pretty annoying sometimes. Once Ima got mad because someone said "earrape", and "cock" was on the blacklist for quite a while despite the amount Vinny uses it. They care quite a lot about their status as a Discord Partner.

Find the stupidest rule is the most recently added one, basically saying that you cannot use the VC unless you're playing games with other people (in the VC) and you also can't use the VC for long periods of time. Why even bother having a VC at that point. Their reasoning is because they can't moderate it as easily as they can text. Don't know what they think people are talking about in VC that requires moderation as heavy as the chat does. The few times before the rule was made that I got into the VC while there was a bunch of people on, the convo(s) were relatively topic-less, mostly a lot of one or a few people jokingly yelling at another person.

Overall, the Discord is really just a rule-heavy safe space. Unless you're DankDimer. How that dude is still on the server is a wonder and a half.

I think "be your best self" is an all-round startlingly neutral or flavorless positivity kind of thing to say. Jerma strikes me as a pretty chill guy, so it does make sense to me that his stance is just "cool you do you." I could dig into his tone and inflection when he says "transgender pride" but to be fair if this is at the end of the stream chances are it only means he's tired.

This would explain a huge amount of the influx if Harry "If the kid might be gay, on meds they stay" Brewis hosted jerma post mermaids stream. That really blows dick actually.
