What is that, and is it on sale? And what in the literal fuck was that public display?
Some Witness of Schemmel being a Diva

I’d say that this is some Van Halen Test shit, but Sean is so thin skinned that I wouldn’t put it past him to bitch about this.

I'm not a hardcore weeb, but even I know that there's plenty of animes with girls in them. It's not a recent thing, either: Sally the Witch, a pioneer in the magical girl genre, was a popular show that premired in the sixties. Even back then, there was a variety of shows you could pick and choose from, and it says a lot about a person when they always choose the most testosterone-ladened work and whine about it.
Sakura Card Captors had a female lead, it was still a great show and probably the first anime I actually really enjoyed when I was young, it helped that the dub was godlike (Viva México Cabrones), One Piece has been a thing for over 20 years and it's probably one of the most inclusive manga ever (the dub sadly was terrible because it was pretty much taking the 4kids version and doing that in Spanish, not as bad as the original 4kids dub, but still bad).

And also let's be clear here, women form a big part of the fandom for things like Saint Seiya and other shonen shows, because as much as some people complain about excessive sexualization of females, nobody really cared that, after the Time Skip, half of the males in One Piece were suddenly shirtless or more prone to take their shirts off during battles.

It's a two way street and anyone that disagrees probably hasn't seen enough manga of the top of my head I can think of 4 or five series that cater heavily to females even while being nominally shonen shows.

The position of most in ISWV is that testimony is not conclusive evidence and that it's easier to believe if there's circumstantial evidence or police reports to back up the claims, which Lawtwitter twists into "ISWV believes testimony is not evidence". Admittedly a number of individuals (TUG in particular) have stated multiple times that testimony is not evidence when "dunking" on KV and Lawtwitter, which only helps them when they twist the position.
Testimony not being evidence is a dumb fuck thing to say. It gives a picture not a clean one but a picture of the situation nonetheless.

If thats not evidence then most of what Vic said would be thrown about and the dismissing Vic's would have been justifed by those standards

Tug just low key support KV, what a fucking spastic.

I'd agree with you if you were talking only about the past month; however, before that he was pulling a Dunford, up until I think Ty's complaint against him when I think you can point to him taking a step back and maybe reevaluating what was going on. Maybe he's simply not being as combative because he got slapped on his peepee by the law firm's senior partners, or maybe he's thinking things out logically, I don't know. it does, however, seem like he'll call bullshit out on people like Manjaw, but won't say anything to Doucette. I think it's simply a case of reach with-in his profession, and not wanting to become a target of Lawtwitter.
we could use a Jewish Lawyer and one that's redeemed. However I don't have my hopes op and I think Akiva will bury himself for picking the side of those nutters.

He did, and he criticized that Chupp put out a flimsy 5 page judgement. The rest of the jackasses on law twitter crapped on him like they did the probate dude commenting on Nicks grandfathers stuff.

Going with my previous point Akiva may be a smug jackass but he's no T greg. I'd say any semen that's either sane( using that loosely) or loyal to Akiva will jump shop because the threadnaught ain't gonna last long.

Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary of the masterpiece that is the Nick Rekieta/Shane Holmberg stream. Not only is it the greatest comedy of the whole Weeb Wars but it’s also a piercing documentary of the behavior and mental capacity of an NPC. So I just want to thank Nick and especially you @Shane_Yes_That_One for providing us roughly hours of high-quality entertainment. Oh, and that shoe was just marvelous.
I never actually watched this all the way through, but I don't think someone could perform any worse. Well outside of just being a complete spastic.

Just goes to show how Funi is just cranking out things to support the SJW narrative. It is absolute horseshit to say that strong female characters never existed until now. It's very disingenuous to say that anime was "made for boys" back in the day. There are many examples from 20+ years ago that many have grown up with that counter their narrative here. Anime has been diverse for as long as I can remember and that is what has made anime appealing to many in the first place. Characters don't have to be the same sex/gender/sexuality for me to sympathize and relate to them. Teaching others to feel that sex/gender/sexuality is your one and only defining trait is utterly disgusting. No wonder the younger generations are so fucked up.

It is easier to find anime with all female casts rather than all male casts. Perhaps the argument would be that females are often sexualized in anime and therefore is geared more towards males, but there is also an extensive list of shows that have casts with mostly female characters that don't even have a lot of fan service.

Also when it comes to voice acting, females are far more prevalent than men. Women are chosen to voice all kinds of characters both male and female. It is easy to pick out women who have had male roles, but it is much harder to think of a man who had voiced a female character. Women already have the lead in the anime industry over men... why are they pretending that it's not the case? There are far more roles that are available to them in the industry over males. These ladies at Funi need to stop pretending that isn't the case.

I bet they think Sailor Moon thanks to Crystal is more recent when that's coming up to 30 years--even then, I doubt they've ever seen an episode of Sailor Moon.

Look, Japan has different standards as to what makes a strong female character compared to Western standards. Just because they're much more feminine in nature and stay out of fights doesn't mean it's misogynistic. Women handle conflict through words, not with fists, and they're much more defensive, rarely are they ever on the offense. It's only been in recent years that women have become more prevalent in martial arts and even fighting with magic (Lyrical Nanoha I think is the only magical girl anime series where the fights are extreme, not counting Magical Girl Warriors and Cutey Honey). And that's not a bad thing, a woman's silver tongue pierces harder than a bloodied broken nose, and the women only get slapped around by the bad guy after mouthing off to them because the women struck a weak point. And also notice how it's considered villainous for a man to hit a woman, and it's not just because "women are more delicate", even though it's biologically true.

Ffs, you wanna know why Mothra is a popular and beloved kaiju, a genre that is very much dominated by males? It's not just because she's one of the few female kaiju around. Ever since her debut in the '60s (noticing a pattern?), she puts up a fight in her own way, taking advantage of her limited insect biology. She's also one of the most selfless characters around, and the most courageous, always jumping in to sacrifice her own life to protect the world she loves from danger even before Godzilla can get his lumbering fat ass over to the conflict, and she's a fucking fluffy moth. She is super girly, and yet she has given bigger kaiju a hard time because of her resilience.

So fuck off with this "Japan/Anime has had no strong female characters 'til now" bullshit. Stop watching hentai and actually explore the many options available to you.

"I suspect that the majority of ISWV aren't even anime fans"

You're wrong. No refute. You're just wrong

I want to see how hard they short circuit if this comes back on appeals, especially if the vote is unanimous.

It's easy to prove that KV doesn't watch anime or read manga. I bet if you asked them what was released today you'd have to wait an hour for them to look up livechart.me for anime and find an manga site to look shit up. Hell, they probably don't know what to use to keep track of manga/ manhua releases. (trackr.moe is dead, the guy behind it released the code on github and there's already a guy working on an alternative).

I'm an active anime watcher and even I couldn't tell you what's out today without looking it up. Haven't been watching a lot of newer releases (Nekopara and Interspecies Reviewers are it, and I've fallen behind), been watching older releases like Dennou Coil and Di Gi Charat instead.

Stuff like that is stupid to say because I doubt most anime fans are involved in the drama on either sides, though of the percentage that is involved I bet most of them are ISWV. The bulk of KV seems to be those "anime fans" that jumped on because it's the new cool thing but like to go about as "anime authority figures" or are just involved because of the whole believe all women or sjw roots.

Try as I might to keep up with each season I always end up falling behind and dropping most of the shows I had set out to watch, unless a show really stands out to me I don't bother. I've stopped trying to keep up and just go at my own pace with whatever I fancy.

We had @MarzGurl, JesuOtaku, Beth Elderkin, Spoony, and Linkara involve themselves in this drama, now another one has jumped into this mess.

Every season there's like one show I watch now days, used to be four to seven shows. When it comes to manga/ manhua though there's about 100 different things I read when ever there's a release. Usually at least 50 releases a week at the very least due to the high release rate of manhua.

I've heard of Beta 64. He has an excellent YouTube channel in which he talks about what video games looked like during development before they were officially completed. It is an exhaustive source of information for any diehard video game fan and I would recommend it to anyone whose into classic games. So for him to express grievances over this discord situation on Twitter is very telling.

Forget that Monica is on that video. These people clearly know nothing about anime in general. This “anime is for boys” and “there haven’t been strong female characters in anime until now” rhetoric is nothing but complete bullshit because despite not watching anime for God only knows, I can name a dozen anime heroines off the top of my head:
  1. Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop)
  2. Sakura Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura)
  3. Maka Albarn, Tsubasa and Death the Kid’s two partners (Soul Eater)
  4. Kirika and Marielle (Noir)
  5. Rei, Asuka and Misato (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
  6. Hawkeye, Izumi Curtis, Alex Louis Armstrong, Winry, Mae Chang, Lust (Fullmetal Alchemist)
  7. Hikaru, Umi and Fuu (Magic Knight Rayearth)
  8. Fuu (Samurai Champoo)
  9. Haruhi Suzumiya
  10. The entire cast of Azumanga Daioh
  11. Kaname Chidori (Full Metal Panic)
  12. Haruko Haruhara (FLCL)
  13. Yoko and Nia (Gurren Lagann)
  14. Nausicaa
  15. Norika (Gunbuster)
  16. Kiki
  17. Sheeta (Castle in the Sky)
  18. Chihiro (Spirited Away)
  19. Alvis and Lavie Head (Last Exile)
  20. Haruka Shidow (RahXephon)
  21. The Sailor Scouts
  22. Fujiko from Lupin
  23. Botan from Yu Yu Hakusho
These aren't just characters that popped out recently. These characters have been around since the 1980's, way before any of us were born. And for God's sake, several former and current Funimation voice actors (Caitlin Glass, Laura Bailey, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Brian Palenica, Luci Christian, Cynthia Cranz, Meredith McCoy, even Monica Rial and Jamie Marchi) worked on these characters. Hell, most of the anime above are currently owned by Funimation in the States. In the words of Tim Robbins from Shawshank Redemption, "how could you be so obtuse?".
