I want to know what idiot said there's no strong women in anime or anime is only for men. Ignoring the fact that I don't think there's a single Miyazaki movie WITHOUT a strong female character (including the Lupin III movie that he directed where the main character who is a notorious lech is suddenly incredibly chaste and the Fem Fatale is debatably the "strongest" character in the whole movie), hell there's several that debatably don't have a strong MALE character. But ignoring that, Rumiko Takahashi (a woman) is one of the most influential creators in Japan and has been making hit anime for literal decades. And I would direct any detractors to:
Shirobako
Genshiken (Season 2 specifically)
Princess Jellyfish
Which are all ABOUT female anime fans/creators. (Shirobako is technically about animation professionals in general, but many of the workers (who are mostly based on REAL PEOPLE) are women)
Project A-Ko is a great movie that includes (spoiler) basically ZERO "named" (AFAIK) male characters. (I think the sequels add a total of 2) I can name dozens of anime (that haven't been named yet) that feature compelling female lead characters. MOST of the time, the girls in JUMP shows (DBZ, One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, etc.) DO take a step back for the boys, because they come from a magazine targeted AT BOYS. But one obvious notable exception is Promised Neverland where the lead girl is arguably the strongest (overall) of the main cast.
