Though its worth pointing out I wouldn't put too much faith in anything she says either because I distinctly remember she claimed he had a temperature of 109 - 110 supposedly for several days, which is not physically possible. If such a thing happened he wouldn't be merely fucked in the head, he would have died from it. So I suspect its a story that only has some partial truth to it and is mostly made up to explain and excuse his later behavior. That aside, I can't think of any rash or fever that would cause lucas to behave the way he does as an adult, not without causing such severe brain damage that he'd either be half vegetable or be in a psych ward permanently by now. Thats the mental illness talking and I wouldn't be surprised to find out it was entirely made up by her to cover the 'my kid is a schitzo' stuff, because she knows its usually an inherited condition, and that reflects badly on her

Kids are very good at picking up on odd behaviors from people like lucas and shun them like the plague. As for his mothers part in it, she comes off as more than a little mental herself, as both her posts about lucas and responses to several people over the years who have pointed out certain actions of his that were questionable and in some cases outright illegal. In particular i'm reminded of that time a few hundred pages back where somebody contacted her talking about how he tried to solicit nudes from that underage girl in VA and her reaction sounded alot like something lucas himself would say, she denied such evidence and acted like she was being evasive herself and saying things like 'if theres a problem why wasn't it taken to the cops' or something to that effect. It stuck with me because it immediately raised a bunch of red flags to me that made me wonder if lucas learned his habit of denial and evasiveness and trying to pull the 'you have no evidence!' nonsense specifically from his mother. Just look at how by his own admission she gets evasive and changes the subject or says 'its not in the cards' to him whenever he brings up women. She does that because she knows he's never going to have a woman because she knows full well what his real behavior is like, and has the attitude of a woman who looks the other way, enables him and tries to shove things under the rug, not for his benefit, but because he makes her look bad publicly. tldr: lucas's mother knows alot more than shes letting on about his history, motivations and behavior, its why she gets so evasive and doesn't act surprised or like a normal mother would at hearing such things on the rare occasion someone brings it up to her. Shes been an enabler and par of the problem herself all his life. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that being a creeper is something that runs in the family.
