Wheras Brennan committed crimes that the US government will not prosecute because of the target (DDOSing 8chan) and interfered in Jim's business operations- all because he provided a platform for free speech. Even though 8chan/8kun sucks, the idea that you could sink any lower than Brennan is ridiculous.Jim who decided to weaponize the flips open ended laws to get back at someone he didn't like.
The US as a policy won't extradite for actions that aren't illegal in the US. The best example recently is of Amanda Knox, the American student accused of murdering her boyfriend in Italy. She was found guilty and then acquitted in appeals and came home. The prosecutor got the Italian supreme court to overturn the acquittal and demand a new trial. The US refused to extradite because this would violate Double Jeopardy rules in the United States.Doesn't USA have extradition treaty with Philippines? If he is tried in absentia he could be dragged across the Pacific to serve time. I really doubt this will turn into anything so interesting though.

The DDoS proof is basically non existence. Do you really trust the chat logs from some QAnon tard?Wheras Brennan committed crimes that the US government will not prosecute because of the target (DDOSing 8chan) and interfered in Jim's business operations- all because he provided a platform for free speech. There's nothing funnier than him getting his comeuppance for his crimes in this darkly ironic manner. Apart from him falling down a flight of stairs, of course.
Considerably more than I trust Brennan, who has proven himself to be a snake. The DDoS proof is basically non existence. Do you really trust the chat logs from some QAnon tard?
I agree that psychologically FB has got to be broken by this, in a non-funny way. Regardless of his philosophy on free speech anyone who's not a complete sociopath would have difficulty with having had even a tangential role in the bad things that were and became associated with 8chan. His mortality has got to be a big thing, too. I am sure that it would freak me the fuck out too but I'll never be in that position, I'm just a guy who posts with a doot-skull avatar. The reason people hate him and alog him is that he presented himself as a larger-than-life figure, a hero, a messiah for a number of disparate subcultures that value freedom of speech. These larger-than-life people (I don't mean just social media personas but actual movers and shakers) have feels to and I think people at large don't think about this when reacting to it, but, they're larger-than-life doing, and representing larger-than-life things. When people react so viscerally to FB's hypocrisy they're sensing a betrayal of an idea by an idealized person. So on a personal level maybe I can feel bad. But on the level of what he represents, on this more abstract level, it's so infuriating. Worth thinking about the human at the center of it, I suppose. Now he's just trying to live out the rest of his short life but no matter what he does he's always going to be "that guy who started a forum for mass shooters" in the eyes of normies.
I can't help but feel bad for Fredrick. All he wanted to do was create a completely free-speech alternative to 4chan and a few bad actors (some of whom glow in the dark) completely ruined it. Now he's just trying to live out the rest of his short life but no matter what he does he's always going to be "that guy who started a forum for mass shooters" in the eyes of normies.
Yes, he's gotten smug ever since he distanced himself from 8ch and if he really did pay a kid to DDoS 8kun that's an immature and gay move. But even though he's done a complete heel-turn and attacked the site he created, I don't see how anyone can take Jim's side on this one. He legitimately got so mad at the god damn Internet that he's trying to get a crippled dwarf thrown in jail for saying mean things about him.
Anyone happy that this is happening is just as disingenuous as Fred. "He doesn't care about free speech anymore, so I'm glad he may get thrown in a cage for saying mean words."
We can see from the fact that Brennan is not in the Philippines, but in the US, that he is not going to get thrown in jail for interfering with Jim's business, unless he makes it a point to bring it on himself by returning to the Philippines.Yes, he's gotten smug ever since he distanced himself from 8ch and if he really did pay a kid to DDoS 8kun that's an immature and gay move. Did he have anything to do with those fucks from Vice that broke into Jim’s house too? He’s had enough absurd shit in the past year that I wouldn’t fault the guy for just trying to burn anyone that messes with him.Yeah, how about actively interferring with James Watkins' citizenship procedure? Is that reason enough to put him behind bars? He's not just saying mean words. He's actively fucking with and disrupting someone else's not-illegal aims.
I don't pity the cripple just because he's a cripple. Pity is to look down upon people. He was warned he'd end up in ass-pound jail with Filipino lady-boys who don't give a shit. He didn't listen.
We're talking about a country whose leader allowed thousands of summary executions of suspected drug dealers and accomplices over the past few years. Literally people getting gun downed for standing on street corners and looking suspicious.
