Well it’s all over now. Get ready for 4 more years of trump because all the dem hopefuls blow. Not one decent moderate.
That’s what frustrates me about the democrats, they just refuse to let up on just a few issues that would assure them victory if they did.
its still going
The biggest problem I see for the Dems right now is the rigid ideological conformity that the militant progressive wing of the party is demanding, and how that's really starting to turn off a decent chunk of people. If you're not 100% in lockstep with every plank of the platform, then you're effectively traitorous scum that will either be hounded and berated until you submit or ostracized if you still refuse. As the crazies like AOC keep grabbing hold of the wheel and steering the party off a cliff with unpopular proposals, there's a fair amount of people who are asking where the hell their party went. It's too much of a ridiculous balancing act for Dems now with shit like how:
And when you move off the identity politics the only major thing they could rally around is healthcare, since they've essentially ceded the anti-war position to Trump by coming against pulling troops out of Syria and against infrastructure spending when Trump tried getting the ball rolling on that because it'd mean giving money for Trump's projects. You can still have them go back and forth and suggest they're the 'real' anti-war or pro-infrastructure spenders, but they've no progress on either of those fronts they could point to other than speeches at one of the million protests/rallies they've done which makes it all feel like empty rhetoric.
- They can't go too hard on supporting gays because it could turn off the blacks
- They can't support the Jews too much or it'll piss off the Muslims
- They can't support the Muslims too much or it'll piss off the Jews
- They can't support Americans too much or it'll piss off the illegals and globalists
- They can't support socialism too much or it'll piss off the geriatrics
- And so on
Yet even with healthcare the big solution being put forth is expanding Medicare and possibly taking away private insurance, which seems unlikely to work well as everyone would be asking where they'd get the money for it and when no serious answers come up it makes those pushing it sound like snake oil salesmen.
Twitter adds its own curated trending tweets to change discourse, and they usually try to hide how many organic tweets it has. They used to show them but they'd be less than 1000 or even less than 500 tweets and it was painfully obvious how rigged it was.its still going

im curious as to why sometimes one of these "trends" on the "trending" tab lack the tweet counter these other "trends" here do.

Live from CPAC! They're not sending their best!
He showed up during Pence's speech and was carrying a fellow protestor as a prop. Started yelling "You are not God" at Pence when security surrounded him.
Honestly, he was literally right behind me and I have as much context as you do. It was during a "four more years" chant, so it wasn't just at Pence alone.I need a little more context. Why the hell was he yelling at milktoast pence? Like maybe if it was Trump but neither have likened themselves to god or to being a god.

There is nothing special about you. There is nothing unique about you. There is nothing you do that sets you apart from any other schmuck performing any other job. You don't need to be licensed, you don't need to be tested, you don't need to adhere to a code of ethics and most of the time are subject to no disciplinary actions regardless of how many people you endanger with outright lies. It takes no credentials or intelligence at all to become a journalist.
You're nothing but a talking head who regurgitates the opinions of the ink-shitters, and you deserve no special treatments nor do you deserve to be immune from criticism. All of this would still be true if you were actually a journalist, but in actuality you're nothing more than a political activist with an ego almost as big as your face.
You are, at best, an entertainer, and given the state of your ratings, you aren't even good at your job.
TES is too busy sniffing their own farts to even do what their thread was made for, such low energy.Honestly, he was literally right behind me and I have as much context as you do. It was during a "four more years" chant, so it wasn't just at Pence alone.
It's clear these protesters are just there to disrupt speeches. Like that incoherent against Biden during that one debate. When you're watching online, it's utterly impotent, but in person it is fairly effective and leaves you distracted for a good while. Pence completely ignored it though.
Edit: Upon reflection, earlier speakers alluded to Trump being sent by God to save the GOP. I'm sure the TES thread would get a kick out of that. Probably what the protester was reeing about, though.

Because border patrol totally isn't a component of containing and stopping a disease at all.Hoo boy...

It might not be the right thread to post it, but six Democrats quit the Democratic party to join the Republican Party. I think some Dems feel the "Bern" and left while the Democrat ship is sinking.
