I'd bet there is a mod discord, Dark does engage with it, and he uses the same name as found in the faction server. He probably just has a different spin for those who are aware of his discord name. "I only spent a few hundred dollars d00d, detractors are morahns!" That or his mods are just plain cucks and don't give a shit.

Pretty sure there is a Discord for Phil's mods

They are usually the ones who like to throw money at Phil, hence they probably don't give a shit what Phil spends money on since the both of them are financially irresponsible

If any mod dares to talk against Phil's spending habit on a mobile game he'd get called a detractor.

Any idea how much that thing would cost to get?

Generally the whales will get these type of characters first through mega pulls. In these cases, the mega pulls are done at $99 apiece which will get you between 20-55 shots at the prized wrestler. While there are cheaper varieties that could technically get you the big reward, those who are willing to spend are going to do the more expensive ones in an attempt to beat the meager drop rate.

Could have been $100...could have been $1000...

The only thing for certain is that he paid to get The Fiend.

dsp upgraded the fiend to max level, so probably purchased in-game materials (based on his rankings during a few "resource dump" events that have happened recently, where he more than likely was encouraged to dump resources to get a high rank on the leaderboards), (standard mobile game psychological tactic)

then the devs release a new shiney character that requires those same resources you dumped, but now they're conveniently on sale

someone in the guild spent nearly $1,000 to get the fiend

twitter detractor Phil Kahllins @KingOfGout points out dsp is known to use the "insanely good" phrase quite often

"$99.99 USD for 11 rolls"

"this character is not top tier and he has better wrestlers than her already"

so he's rolling for characters who aren't even top tier, that collector's addiction is strong

4.84% drop rate, not as bad as the 1% drop rate wrestler he rolled for previously

Insanely good. That is Phil 100%.

So how does this work, he's 500k in debt and still hardcore leveling and maxing out units which take hundreds of hours to max in-game in a matter of days; possibly with money. Apple or whatever just allows him to go further into debt?

The theory is that the PayPal account he has linked to Twitch is also linked to Google Pay or whatever the iPhone version is called. Apple/the devs/the bank aren't going to give him this kind of money on credit, but most online services now let you link PayPal instead of a traditional bank account. His whaling and the bank + PayPal accounts having a combined $1,500 also supports the theory that all his extra money goes into WWE Gacha Edition.

I forgot to address the leveling and training of characters in my previous post, as this is something that is being overlooked.

From the point that you acquire a four star gold wrestler at level 1, it costs 32,767,200 coins to take them all the way to level 180. In addition, to fully max their moves requires 2,374 training points for each of the three colors of their special moves for a total of 7,122. Now, it is certainly possible to have this amount of coins and TP in your account through normal play. However, DSP is getting multiple new characters on the regular and seems to be bringing them up to max ability almost immediately. I can't imagine that he is doing this without investing more money into resources, which is just another big money pit.

Massive shootouts to you for providing explanations on the mechanics. Really provides a solid underpinning on how he's spending money.

To @tzgnilki as well.

How much does it cost to level up a new wrestler purely through purchased coins?

Also thank god I play FGO shit's a crushing skinnerbox but its got nothing on the levels of whaling going on here.

So is his big brained scheme to "hide" money in this gacha game so it appears he makes less then he does? if that's case then DSP truly is evil lol.

Hiding money implies that he can get it back somehow. Since the account is non-transferable and he can't sell it, he's just spending money with zero chance of return on investment.

it's kinda hard to tell exactly how much, some wwe champions youtubers have thousands of upgrade materials just from playing, and we know dsp plays more than these full time youtubers who cover the game

I think it's intentionally confusing so you're always chasing some kind of resource, coin or material

what I don't understand is the fuse up thing, can you explain @BT9494 I think it's for upgrading the specific star rank

there are $99 packs for coins, upgrade tokens (training points/TP), there are 6 different kinds of TP

then there are special upgrade items that come also in cash shop packs, which can be up to $99 for best value
