Early on in this video, Vin mentions he did get a refund for Snack World.
So he went and bought a $40 collection of mostly GBA Megaman games. The Z series is supposed to be good but $40 is too much. Oh well, his money.
It's like 6 full games, it's not a bad deal.

I know these jokes are obvious but they still made me smile.

People brought it up before in the chat during other times he visited cons and he mentioned that he's usually tired in pictures cause he's an introvert and that's why he has resting tiredface.

It seems he has that expression in a majority of photos taken with him at cons... I wouldn’t say that it’s because he doesn’t like being there, if he did, then why would he bother going every year. I doubt he has some kind of obligation to be at cons and put up with taking pictures, but rather because he really does enjoy going (and he seems pretty good about making his own choices anyways).

And, yeah, he does sometimes mention how he just has a “resting bitch face,” or that he’s just tired after a couple days at a con and talking to hundreds of people. But he does seem to smile occasionally!

It's just the natural effect of being an introvert and being in large crowds, especially when you're someone of notable fame so you garner more attention. Even when you enjoy the location you're at, it's still going to wear you down to a degree no matter what when you're used to a life of isolation and privacy.

At least pretend to fucking smile, Jesus. Going out into public to "interact" and then not even attempting to look like you're enjoying yourself makes it look like you're wallowing in misery.

Vinny is making the exact same face my maximum teen angst little brother makes when Mom wants to take a picture on the Holidays. Just smile and get the picture over with and at least act like you're having fun so when people look at the picture in two years nobody remembers that you want to go back to your room and play Fortnite.

I'm glad he has a bottle of hand lube.

I honestly look the same in most photos. It's not that I don't care or anything, just the face that's easiest to make.

oml, look at his face in the second one, the rest is his usual "dead inside" and the one @Ghost Funk posted is a genuine smile.

But the second one, he seems...annoyed? mad? While Ima looks quite happy.
I think the second pic is meant to be a faked reaction to the fact that the dudes wearing a Knuckles cosplay, since he and Ima played Sonic 3 & Knuckles a few years back.

If people are genuinely annoyed that he doesn’t smile or happy in pics at conventions by now, despite how often he mentions that conventions wear him out when the time occurs, then that’s silly. Let the dude enjoy himself without having people being like, “booti PLZ smile!1!1” or “binyot y u luk ded in pik shur???” when photos get uploaded. Nearly everyone that meets him says they have a great experience after, so who cares?

Oh that's true, I forgot about that (Ima and Vinny playing sonic 3)

But yeah he's always said he's an introvert and he hardly ever smiles in pictures, its just how he is. And many people myself included just...don't like to smile much in pictures or not a photogenic type

Not annoyed and I guess it seems silly to dwell on it, just worried stream stuff is losing its fun for him. Just felt bad for the guy. He can smile or not smile of he wants.

He actually could have an obligation to go to cons, since the con he frequents, Too Many Games, is also run by his main sponsor, Screenwave. I think someone mentioned before that Vinny stated he prefers TMG now over bigger cons like ComicCon because of the smaller size making them a little more manageable for him, but I definitely think there's some stipulation in his deal with Screenwave that requires him to go to SOME public events. It would explain why he's been going to TMG exclusively in recent years and not bothering with ComicCon like he used to.

Earlier in this thread, someone posted a good collection of pictures of younger Vinny smiling with fans at conventions, and where the smile that was linked above seems kind of forced (or at the very least, he looks more tired than happy), the ones shown in those old pictures look very genuine, like he's truly happy to be there and with his fans. I don't necessarily think there's much more to this than the fact that his mentality seems to have changed, and with it, his expressiveness with fans; before, he either was genuinely that happy to see his fans, or at least put a more concentrated effort into LOOKING happy.

Now, he's completely given up on that altogether, and either sticks with a neutral face or a smile that, in all honesty, looks more like a pained grimace. Again, I don't see this as a bad thing or think he should stop doing it, but it's interesting to see such a marked difference.
