I think that South Carolina's results are making a brokered convention become more and more the likely outcome.

If only there were a major contender who's against the latter, and could very well be dissembling his newfound views on the former to increase appeal...Hell, unless this is Captain Trips, it is going to fuck the democrats for pushing open borders and globalization.

I don't think it hurts him. 'A virus out of China spread to every continent, became a pandemic, plunging the world's economy into recession. Better vote for the socialist!' That logic makes no sense except to people who were already opposed to Trump.Well, it really depending on how bad the situation becomes. The worse the outbreak evolves globally, the worse the US economy become, which will bode ill for his re-election chances. If the outbreak explodes exponentially like in South Korea, Italy and Iran, it will push healthcare to the forefront of the agenda and it will help the Democrat, whoever that may be.
The only way it doesn't hurt him is if it does die in the warming, sunnier conditions in the months ahead, where he can lord it over his opponents.
Didn't Trump make anime real?Nah, anime plot twists and reality are two different things.
I like how "Drop Out Bernie" has more tweets than "Drop Out Pete".View attachment 1168416

Or it's going to kill off the oldfucks who vote republican without any other consideration.Aside from what @XYZpdq said, it also makes his points on not relying on China and closed borders. Hell, unless this is Captain Trips, it is going to fuck the democrats for pushing open borders and globalization.
Traditionally it's viewed that bad things happening on the leader's watch makes the leader look bad even if he doesn't have a direct hand in it, so I can understand the idea that if everything goes to shit he could be stuck with it, but like I said I get the impression that by this point there's not much that could happen to make anybody change their minds about orange man for or against.I don’t see how coronavirus makes him more likely to lose against a Democrat. Coronavirus is the exact scenario he said globalism would wreak, especially our dependence on China. M4A would fall flat on its face because Europe is struggling against the pandemic too. Unless Democrats go full closed borders nationalism, coronavirus is a losing issue for them.

ehh, Bush Sr got brought up a minute ago, but he also had Perot, so you had a real candidate talking economics and a spoiler talking economics against READ MY LIPS _and_ a recession, so there's a lot to go with beyond "a recession".Remember that normie Repubs don't have to be dissuaded from voting Trump again, all that's needed is for a greater proportion of centrist voters in swing states to think "I guess the democrat is better..."
I don't care what you guys say about how Bernie is such a hypocrite who flip-flops his views, because Hillary was infinitely worse in that regard, whichprobablymade a bunch of typically blue left-of-center voters vote for blumpf. (I mean, where was she during the civil rights movement?) Adding a corona-induced recession to the whole Bernie-isn't-Hillary factor could very well tip the scale.
