A new video. Video isn't broken, it's a black screen until about 1.50 when she starts talking. She sings and plays guitar. Both her guitar and voice are out of tune but let's explain that away with the title of the video. 1.50 she starts talking about how much she works and how little time she has for music.

It's like she wakes up with a head full of garbage, eats breakfast, dumps her brain garbage on YouTube, and then goes out to Uber or buy food. Whatever she thinks she's doing with the vids, perhaps they're serving as a coping mechanism. She can use them to free herself from the ANTs ("automatic negative thoughts" in shrink terms) and focus for a while on navigating her external life.

Certainly she's facing the same dilemma a number of lolcows are, to state the obvious: They've banned, blocked, and disowned everyone in their lives so they can only howl into the wind. There's no one to talk to, let alone someone to scold, cajole, con, or entice.

I caught that she said something about her Dad giving her another kick in the ass or something. I took that to mean something happened or is going on that could affect poor old crazy Marissa. Anyone else feel that?

I've wondered whether her stipend's been reduced. Or maybe it's going to end shortly. It was in March last year that it was cut off abruptly, so maybe when it resumed she was warned it would be only for a year so she would have time to find a way to support herself.

Other possibilities: She needs Sid to cosign something, like a lease or a car loan extension, and the official word is no - he's not in any shape to make contractual commitments and doesn't have the money left to guarantee payments for her.

Who would be communicating that kind of thing, though? It wouldn't be Sid or Bethann - they've got that restraining order. Maybe the Brodys retained a lawyer? I'd think that would incite Marissa's rage the way being served with the restraining order did.

There is no beginning and no end. Why do things exists? No one knows, lots of people have probably asked. Does math and equations when she pulls over.

You know, this talk about stars and space and dimensions lately, coupled with the Syd Barrett fantasy makes me think she dropped acid and listened to Interstellar Overdrive and Astronomy Domine too many times! LOL If we didn't know she was batshit crazy, that's what I'd think!

How long you think she will stay in this manic phase? 2 or 3 months before something new? Hey @wabbits, in the work on the new OP, did we ever think about a timeline for each phase/obsession she had and how long they ran for before she moved on to some other fixation? Using the titles of her videos would be a quick way to do it for the last couple of years. Just a thought.

That would be a great addition - go for it, esp. since you have a large archive of videos. She's pulled down so much - and thrown so much back up - so often figuring out true time ranges has been a problem.

In general, I'm not planning to detail everything about her given that there's so much material. The OP has to be a manageable size since there's a limit on the number of characters and KB of images any one post can contain. Even a two-post OP has its built-in limits as does a reader's willingness to slog through it all. Attachments rarely get looked at.

That said, if you can chart her eras, it coud be a good organizing resource for a YouTube life that began in 2011. That's the platform she's stayed with the longest.
