No one cares enough about Monica to donate to her cause. To act like they are above and beyond accepting the kindness of others in trying times is only a shroud to hide the fact that they know they'd look pathetic if they did open one. Nothing would be wrong with fans giving money to support a cause, but the numbers would tell the story that no one truly wants to support Monica. Seeing that reality would only crush their souls. So, they got to refuse and pretend to be morally superior for doing so.
