Hi all, I have lurked the farms for years. Still not wise to the culture or lingo, but I spend far too much time here to not join. Seems to fit my particular form of autism. I'm often MOTI.
I wanted to talk about what we should expect from DSP's court date on Thursday. Correct me if I am wrong, (I only did a cursory review) but I think some of you might be temporarily disappointed by the initial reaction. My understanding that Meetings of Creditors are only 5-10 mins. That's why there are 12 people scheduled for 1 hour. The Trustee establishes that "Yes, this is the dood we're going to be fucking" and ask very standard, routine questions. There will be no time for an in-depth discussion. The Trustee will more than likely drill him on how many and what sources DSP used to establish the value of the WAKhando. If DSP has a lot of questions, or a Creditor shows up, and the meeting exceeds 10 mins a follow-up meeting will be scheduled to ensure all parties sufficiently (and legally) informed.
The way it sounds, even if the Trustee sees massive red flags, she will not confront him at the time of the meeting. She'll smile to his face, not out of kindness, but at the raw hubris and the knowledge of his coming ruin. After the meeting, the Trustee convenes with the Creditors and they have 60 days to challenge the information presented in DSP's appeal. I believe he will be challenged. Specifically on the value of his house. According the Ginsberg post, they are super autistic about that. His claimed monthly business expenses will most likely be challenged, as well.
I hope I am wrong. I'd hate to be a downer. If not, it just means we're waiting longer for results.
Good to be here (as a member).
