there we go, that's the year. I was a kid back then so the years are starting to merge together in my memory.
I remember hearing shit like conspiracy theories that Obama engineered the virus as a biological weapon to weaken Mexico so America can continue their southwards Manifest Destiny (I even had kids who asked me if this was true since I was the token American, so that means I must have contact with America's conspiracy.
News made a big deal on how much a radical change it would be to wear masks at all times and how kids could adapt by pretending it's a game. That's as much as I can remember, since most of it was just me not going to school so I'd spend my day browsing the internet and playing video games.

Dang, you were a kid in 2009? You're young, I was a 19 year old for most of that year.

Bhahah I don't even know where my sides are anymore, wtf I love Corona-chan now?!
$3.5 Billion is less than 1% of GDP, but they still require billions from America in foreign aid? :story:

I wonder what statistic or statement is bad enough that they're trying to prevent a soundbite being made of. That's got to be the only reason to shut down a/v recording, in my estimation.

Those will work, they are a combination of vinyl (PVC) and normal food grade plastic.
Light, heat, air and moisture are the enemy.

So do I vacuum pack and then freeze or freee first then vacuum seal?

Azar is going to be out very soon, he cocked this response up. Maybe don’t hire a pharma shill for an important job like this?

Just put it in a closed bag or container in a fridge for 3 days, one day in a freezer if you can.

A few days late (sorry, still catching up, plz disregard if late info), but I am astonished to report that at least one city in the Gulf South is handling things much better than expected:
http://archive.today/fcZLp

TLDR:
  • hospitals are conserving & stockpiling PPE ("successfully so" is implied)
  • Ochsner system has been prepping since January (!)
  • Hospitals "take cues" from CDC on how to proceed once cases found (which I personally find much more reassuring than actually following CDC guidelines to the letter, at this point)
  • State has a hotline for medical professionals in place & is hiring more epidemiologists
  • More cases "only a matter of time" but no doomer talk
  • UMC (NOLA's relatively new & one of largest hospitals right beside downtown) advises not to get re.tarded with the mask use, saying “People stock up and it’s a feeling of safety, but it’s a theater rather than helpfulness.”

Considering how we do everything else in the Crescent City, this was a shocker. Tulane has been advising students, faculty, staff, & helicopter parents with multiple emails a week regarding travel restrictions (in sum, "don't travel to China, Iran, Italy. Ask the Provost if you want to be a non-compliant ass. If you're studying abroad, we're bringing you back. If you're stuck here & can't get home, we'll arrange for you to stay throughout the summer semester if need be.), an FAQ on the virus & its relative shittiness, & reminders of number of cases found & that action will be taken if the virus hits LA (a few possible cases, as of today, Baton Rouge), NOLA, or Tulane. The Tulane response isn't really surprising, considering the number of "concerned (read: over-involved) parents" & level of medical research going on in the university, but if NOLA handles this well color me really fucking surprised.

FYI no real coofy buggers noticed at carnival this year. Alcohol may, in fact, have some internal benefits too, non? . . . as does the positive attitude @JosephStalin & @Jet Fuel Johnny have recommended. Laissez les bons temps rouler, motherfuckers!

This weird feeling . . . is it . . . pride? Pfft, we'll be back to assclown town in no time, hold our bourbon.

I would make meal sized/monthly normal use sized ziplock bags, freeze those and pack those into the vacuum bags so later you snip the seal pull a pack then reseal.
Please kindly do all prep sperging on the thread I made in general to avoid getting nuked by daddy hk.(just kidding)
I lost steam again before finishing it. I just want to post what I have so far in case I never get around to completing it. I almost never draw anymore and it's obvious why.
Had an exceptionally cringy image stuck in my head for weeks now and there's just something about it, but it begs for little bat-bros.

Don't suppose you can rule 34 my avatar with corona Chan? I want an artistic depicition of how fucked I'll be if I get sick.

Sorry if this was bought up before but has anyone noticed how vids from wuhan pratically stopped. I started browsing this thread from page 87 and every other post was a vid of a doctor or civilian in wuhan and how Berlin in 1945 looked far better than wuhan. Now on page 580 there are no more vids. Has the CCP blocked internet entirely in Wuhan?

Chiming in from a different Gulf South locale that totally invented Mardi Gras and don't you forget it , Alabama's Department of Public Health has had a really useful aggregated Wu Flu "news and info" page up since early January. It's actually refreshingly comprehensive, and updated daily.

Since you did mention good times and the rolling thereof, I'll mention another excellent reason to get your hands on some good strong vodka:

making your own infused vodkas. :drink:

There are lots of herbs, spices and assorted food items with alcohol-soluble flavor compounds. It's as simple as sticking your flavorant(s) of choice in a glass container with some vodka, waiting a while and then straining the mixture into another container (glass is always preferable, of course). My personal favorites are citrus infusions, like lemon and grapefruit.

Probably that or the internet may be down.

It's the CCP so I wouldn't doubt it.
If not that then considering most of the whistleblowers just disappeared I'd guess they are threatening their citizens with violence for leaking videos and using the whistleblowers as examples.
