She's not doing a very good job. Last time I was in Denver the River North district (hers) was hipster gentrification central. I was hoping she represented one of the districts on E Colfax. They need some gentrification.

The basic complaint is that when a neighborhood gets "gentrified", the existing long-term residents (who are either poor or live on fixed income) get priced out of living there and are forced to move. There isn't really an economic downside to this, it's emotional: gentrifying wrecks the "character" of the neighborhood, and changes the lifestyle of the community.

If that sounds like dog whistle, coded language from a 1960's rant from the Deep South, you aren't too far off. Just swap the skin tones on either side, because apparently that makes things not racist in Current Year, somehow.

Undoubtedly there are several here, as well as several "good honest citzens" who lurk and wait to fuck someone up in Scooby-doo fashion. It's very Orwellian, but at the same time, it's a laugh. If someone wants to spend my money surveilling me (and us here at all), they get what they deserve as their own rights are eroded, the world is turned into a cartoon version of Bolshevism, and they are suddenly surprised that THEY are the targets of the zeitgeist.

As gay as it sounds, other than the edgy mentions of certain (((people))) and a couple of trolls, there is more sense and support of freedom and respect for human dignity on this site than a thousand Buzzfeeds.
