Dark has dropped six figures on mobile games over the years, who cares about the specifics.

....Me. The specifics are how we 1) know (with a reasonable degree of certainty) that he's spent at least $40,000 on WWE Champions, 2) spent an unknown amount to whale out on Marvel: Future Fight, and 3) could determine how much he might have spent elsewhere in mobile games. Poking holes in his "muh debts" story is fun. Taking a box cutter to the whole thing is even more fun.

Specifics are the tastiest parts. Its in our nature to ask 'why' or 'how' something happened. Things would be so dull if we sat back and say 'yep that happened' without any inquiry.

The 40k (minimum) on Champions is effectively already proven. By his own words he's spent "thousands" on Supercard and admits to spending money on Future Fight, DBZ, Brave Exvius and Record Keeper. These are just the games he's played for a period of a year+, maybe he's even dabbled in other games short term and splashed around a few hundred here and there. I doubt even he has any idea of what he's spent in full and I doubt there's any way to do analysis on the games he stopped playing years ago. There's enough circumstantial evidence to prove he's an addict shut-in who can't finance anything in his life, the grand total is six figures easy.

Maybe. But to me, it'd be hysterical to show that he's actually spent that 6 figures on mobile gaming alone, especially in light of the known credit card debt. I know it's damn near impossible to do it, which is why I've not invested any real time in trying to figure it out. Doesn't mean there's no chance at all.

I wasn't actually saying no one should investigate, just seems like we're wasting due diligence on the snortman by giving him any shred of charitability.

This sound like he whaled out some in Dokkan Battle and Brave Exvius too? Any super sleuth autists want to go digging?

My personal opinion is that I would rather lowball a number than over-estimate it, because that takes away a talking point for him. To give an example, when I count up the money he gets from subs that occur without a notification in chat (anywhere from like 50 to 100 a month, roughly), I assume that each is a Tier 1 sub, the lowest. Similarly, I put a fairly wide range on his Youtube CPM to try and ensure that it's not over-estimated. Even stuff like the offscreen "generous" tip he got from rnzboy a couple months back--I didn't include any amount for that because "generous" could be $100 or $1000. Same for his gifted PS4 and 4K TV.

I do think there's a good chance he's up near $100,000+ on his mobile game spending, but I'm not going to call it a fact without some evidence to back it up is all.

Yeah, I've always wondered about his other Gatcha game habbits. He always sounds like he whales out on them so I bet WWE Champions isn't the only skeleton in his closet.

It would be utter poetic justice if the man who makes a living playing video games, yet hates video games, has accumulated a major portion of his consumer debt by paying-to-win in mobile games. I wonder if Kat stopped DSP from “watching wrestling” due to the stupid amount of money he was charging to his cards to support his WWE gacha habit. So he started funneling money straight from PayPal to gacha, feeding Kat the line “It’s a slow night dood. Stupid trolls are ruining me!” It’s like a spouse buying a new whatever and concealing it from their partner, but instead of an expensive new fishing pole or pair of shoes, it’s a $1500 four gold-star Fiend JPEG.

Whaling out in Dokkan Battle is so stupid. I’ve been playing global nearly since its release. I’ve spent $20 (during the release of the original STR Gogeta) on the game. I have 14 LR chars you can only get from summoning and some have dupes in them. So 99% of my summons have come from farming in game currency and saving dragon stones for choice summon banners. Hell right now I have nearly 300 stones saved waiting for the 5th anni banner which carries some OP chars.

Whaling out on a mobile game that has no PvP is stupid on every level. The thing about Dokkan Battle is it doesn’t have events which require climbing ranking ladders except the World Tournament events every few months. It’s a very casual game you can be top tier in without spending a dime.

incase anyone was wondering what dsp was doing last night between 11p.m - 3a.m

as mentioned previously, he has been whaling on resource events & upgrading wrestlers straight to max level, he eventually ran out of resources, (intentional predatory mobile game design), and is now pulling for "tp" (training/upgrade cards for specific special moves on each wrestler, some wrestlers have 5+ abilities with different perks), and coins (used for upgrading a wrestler)

This also sounds exactly like Phil every time he talks about mobile games on stream.

Phil has a major gambling/gacha game addiction. I'd feel bad if it wasn't him.
