New con invite

I think it's great that Funimation literally has no power in keeping credit roles away from terminated voice-actors, and the Japanese companies haven't said a thing about it either. Seeing Broly still being listed as top-billing for his famous roles will make his detractors seethe for years to come as it's become their trigger word now.

If it's in the Eastside Cannery, do we get Canned Lasagna?

He'll be rubbing shoulders with a variety of low key celebrities it looks like. Bryce Papenbrook will also be there. Also motherfucking Peter Cullen.

Old con invite.
I believe they invited Vic back in December.

As has been reported, the Honorable John P. Chupp has lost the primary election for the 2nd District of Texas Court of Appeals. He received 16% of the vote.

This guy, Brian Walker, won the election with 47% of the vote. Since there doesn't seem to be any other candidates in the race, Brian Walker will be on the Court of Appeals but likely will have no part in Vic's case. Also, he's a Superlawyer.

But back to the Honorable John P. Chupp, here is his campaign finance page (archive). His donors consist of three law firms and two individuals, including one guy (Chupp's friend?) who donated a thousand dollars. Chupp appears to have spent 2,500 dollars talking to the Texas Republican Party and 250 dollars on a Republican women's association (hmm...).

It looks like Lee Gabriel, the judge (along with Sudderth) who slapped Chupp with a writ of Mandamus elected not to campaign, so who knows, this might be one of the last appeals she hears come November (assuming that's when her term ends).

It's been five months, and somehow the arguments I see haven't changed at all. It's like twitter and all its salt is still stuck in October. Has anyone discovered the identity of "J" yet, at least?
The KV rando with the Deadpool avy? Nope so far, but I'm gonna hope and see where that goes.

I think @Allanon is referring to the girl in Anime News Network's infamous article.
It's true that her identity has never been revealed.

Correct. The best accusation they have bar none, because it's the only one they have with photographic evidence and that hasn't been conclusively disproven yet (and for now comes from an anonymous, therefore 'unbiased' source). It's pretty sad because her accusation is 'he hugged me more tightly than I expected and kissed my cheek without permission when I was 14', but even they know it's the best they've got. There's a reason they used it in their TCPA filing.

The third dude's incorrect. The adr Director is in charge of casting.

The second dude is somehow still wrong, though. Vic has directed one show start to finish, to date. That was Zodiac War, in late 2017. Guess who he handpicked for voice roles? Daman Mills and Monica Rial. So if Vic was cast couching for that, he clearly was doing it wrong.
The reason people claim that Vic was the one running a casting couch is because his current girlfriend (and, back then, side chick) was listed as "additional voices" in the credits for Zodiac War. They claim she only got the role because she had sex with Vic.

Which, to be fair, is probably true.

That doesn't mean he ran a casting couch, though. They knew each other, she wanted to try out voice acting, so he casted her in a very minor role. It's not like he told her she couldn't get roles unless she slept with him. Also, everybody can voice additional voices. It's not like he cast her as the main character. He actually put a whole lot of effort into casting the right people for the series and directing it.

Funimation is a company built on nepotism anyway. An extremely unprofessional workplace. So, false outrage over Vic hiring his girlfriend back then as a minor role is dumb.

Now I don't want them on any list ever just to watch them chimp out some more over not getting the attention they want.
Seriously, is this person 5 years old?
