I wouldn't put it past phil to reschedule it but still show up today, trying to trick anyone who's there
My preferred imagining of how today went was he woke up after drinking until 4am and had khet drive him downtown where they parked in a lot closer to Westlake. Khet went to Westlake to shop while dsp walked toward the court to stake it out for tractors. He saw a couple people outside smoking got spooked and walked down to target and hid in a bathroom stall. He sat in that stall for 40 minutes trying to work up the courage to go back, but eventually called his lawyer to say he was sick and couldn't make it. He sat in that stall until noonish playing wwe champions and crying, then texted khet he was done and they met back up at the car and he told her the meeting went great and they headed home. Khet was starving so they stopped at taco bell and dropped $50.

I mean, its not out of the realm of possibility. Knowing dsp, he probably would hide something like this. The amount of stuff he attempted to control or hide from Pandalee shows that. Its just speculation and gossip afterall, no proof to say for certain but what we do know at this time is

- was not schedule to reschedule
- was called
- was not present
- stand-in lawyer who had to say he was not there

Yet
- took off to be there today(muh errands dood!)

Not sure why taking the "Kept Kat in the dark about being tied immediately to half a million dollar bankruptcy" is such a ":lunacy::optimistic:" rating from some people.

I mean, how easy would it be for you to tell your fiancee that after a month of marriage you plan to file bankruptcy for half a million? And that person not backing out or re-evaluating the situation they are now in? Doesn't seem outta the ordinary to me from DSP standards.

Because she is already accustomed to too much debt prior to union in the sty, knows about the detractor community and knows how Google works if she ever feels Phil is being evasive or hiding something from her.

I'm not sure if you've ever met a woman, but I guarantee you that there is zero chance that she is less than fully informed if he has ever reined in her spending and she feels less than satisfied with the reason being good

DSP was called. The stand in for Rochelle asked for an extension. Trustee gave 3/26.

My contact said the first guy on the docket had a company too and the trustee grilled him with detailed questions about expenses and how he spent them for the company and how he paid his employees etc. So something to look forward to.
That makes me believe that DSP will get his ass chewed out when the trustee sees $5k on business expenses for playing vidya games to a bunch of spergs, and be like "What is this a joke? how can you be spending this much on toys meant for children? *While laughing* Yeah, I dismissing your case...oh and Kat agrees with me. *winks and holds up prayer hands*

Seriously though, I feel like these trustees will not believe Phils case and toss it out in a heartbeat.

I imagine him perusing the farms before leaving through sheer paranoia and cancelling at the last minute.

I bet Phil told her a bunch of lies and bullshit she should've repeated today. Maybe they made up a story.
But then he shet bricks when he heard he got a replacement trustee. He can't remember his own bullshit.
The truth may come out by accident, that would be horrible.

(big ups @LyteSydeByll and his contact person)

Edit: @An Avenging Bird. Trustee, attorney, santa, bubblegum, I don't know what your crazy words on the other end of the ocean mean.
Thank you.

The trustee wasn't a replacement. Just the attorney.

He can't run past or cheese this enemy.

Maybe he skipped his meeting because him and khet had to get to Costco to line up before they opened to fight with old people and stay at home moms for toilet paper, bottled water, bagel bites and family sized frozen dinners to ride out the Wu Flu Apocalypse.
Maybe he's filming a Poorly Prepping with the King episode.

My fucking brain hurts

His lawyer didn't show up either even though she had 2 other clients besides Phil that day

Did those 2 other clients show up? If yes, why didn't Phil show up also? What would make Phil special to have his lawyer tell him "don't go to court because I can't get there" but not to her other clients also?

This is just a preliminary meeting to start the process. She's probably farmed this out to someone cheaper to work on the stuff that actually costs her rate and left instructions to ask for an extension, which is almost always granted on the first ask, for Phil and also to ask for an extension if anything unexpected happens

There's no real mystery to the senior lawyer not showing up to a meeting where not much usually happens. I bet she rarely attends this type of meeting herself

I'm sure the main lawyer is just the figurehead of the firm with several junior bankruptcy lawyers working for her that actually show up for standard court work. That's typical.
