I was going to stock up on cleaning supplies until I realized that I would then have to use them to clean for it to do any good. Decided to just wallow in filth and hope the germs are too appalled to infect me.
it's like, all the germs have to fight for resources
so it's like Starcraft and you have a bunch of equal germ armies and they keep each other in check

California could be passing the buck to Oregon, the Princess could go to Astoria:
Fuck that. Astoria is a nice place where they filmed the Goonies.

Send that shit to Coos Bay, nobody cares about the hipster retards that live there and there's a major National Guard base there the plague rats can all die in GP Mediums at.

A hardware store is selling Purell for seventy-nine dollars, the same bottle that sells for five dollars and forty-nine cents. I hope they sold some to Chinks from China.

Here's a good article on how Washington State has been able to test for and confirm coronavirus cases, at least where victims are already severely symptomatic, despite the best efforts of the CDC and the Trump administration.
When Coronavirus Struck Seattle, This Lab Was Ready To Start Testing
It's been a busy week at the virology lab run by UW Medicine, which includes the University of Washington's medical school and hospitals.

"We've already gone to three shifts," says Dr. Keith Jerome, a professor in the department of laboratory medicine who runs the lab. "People are going to be here basically all the time."

The lab is processing about 100 coronavirus tests a day. But it's prepared to do more than 1,000 a day immediately and could quickly increase that to 4,000, Jerome says.

The demand for tests is rising. Seattle is at the center of a coronavirus outbreak that has already claimed the lives of 10 people in Washington state.

One reason the lab is ready to test lots of people is its state-of-the-art equipment, including twin devices that extract genetic material from specimens.

"That all happens robotically," Jerome says, as he gives me a tour of the lab's testing area. "You can see the arms here moving back and forth. This robot is working on 96 specimens at a time. We have two of them. This is part of the magic of moving so many specimens through this laboratory."

In another area of the lab is a room full of instruments that take bits of genetic material from a virus and make millions of copies. That's critical for detecting an infection, Jerome says.

"Right now this is our limiting factor," he says, adding that they've already asked to borrow more of the instruments from other labs affiliated with the university.

But the lab's readiness also is the result of months of planning.

Jerome and other virologists started the process in January, after hearing reports about the coronavirus outbreak in China.

"Our opinion was, this is probably not going to be a problem, this is probably going to be a waste of our effort and some money, but we owe it to the people of our area to be prepared," he says.

So the scientists developed an assay and began using it test specimens sent in for research purposes.

At first, the tests found no infections, says Dr. Alex Greninger, the lab's assistant director. Then, on Feb. 28, one came back positive.

"That was on Friday at 4 p.m.," he says. "And then Saturday morning the FDA came out with a new regulation that allowed us to perform testing."

The change at the Food and Drug Administration was a new policy that allowed sophisticated labs like the one at UW Medicine to develop and use their own coronavirus tests before the agency had reviewed them.

On Monday and Tuesday, the lab quietly began accepting specimens for clinical use and preparing for high-volume testing.

"It was intense," Greninger says, adding that he and colleagues were working past midnight to make sure the system functioned properly.

But the hard part wasn't the testing itself, Greninger says, but the logistics.

For example, "how many swabs you're going to take from each patient, how you're going to handle sending results and samples to the state public health lab," he says.

Then on Wednesday, Jerome and Greninger held a press conference to announce that the lab was officially open for business.

Now they are expecting an avalanche of specimens. And that's a good thing, Jerome says.

"Access to testing is really the major tool we have right now to fight this new coronavirus," he says

Even with the lab's increased capacity, though, testing remains limited to people who have symptoms including fever and a dry cough.

"My goal is everyone who needs a test can get one," Jerome says. "And that might be different than everyone who wants a test."

Local doctors say the lab will make a huge difference.

"It's a game changer," says Dr. Seth Cohen, medical director for infection prevention at UW Medical Center Northwest. "Previously when we would send those tests to the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] in Atlanta it was taking three to five days to get those tests back."

Now results often come back the same day. And that means doctors and hospitals can focus resources on the patients who are truly infected.

Conserving scarce resources will become critical if the coronavirus continues to spread, Cohen says.

"We did not plan on being at the epicenter of one of the outbreaks in the United States," Cohen says. "And we are preparing for the worst."

Apparently three patients in Germany are in very bad condition and in intensive care. And some assholes stole protective medical gear from the CHRILDREN'S cancer ward in the Charité in Berlin. YES, the CHILDREN'S cancer ward. I don't know what to say this level of antisocial behavior.

I hear that in principle, there is some uncertainty as to whether it will go ahead or not...

I just checked and so far it looks like it will take place. They're more worried that people will bash each other's heads in than people getting infected. Watching 22 men kick a stupid ball around is obviously more important than your health. 🤷‍♀️

Oh what fresh bullshit is this now?

Why don't these friends order on Amazon? Or is Amazon sold out?

Well today at my local Walley World There was....

Plenty of TP. Though the prices are starting to go up.
A huge amount of cheap ass disinfectant with bleach in spray bottle format. The type of stuff that will kill germs on contact but because it is not a Name Brand product NOBODY is touching them.
Lots of ammonia.
Plenty of 70% rubbing Alcohol.
Plenty of food. No run outs on this.

What is missing are the following:
91% rubbing alcohol.
Wipes.
Cheap bleach.
Hand Sanitizer.

This validates why dumb ass people can never get ahead. The lack of common sense.

Ghetto assed mother fuckers. They'll listen to people on Twitter, Reddit, Face Book, whatever the social environment they will listen too... except common sense.

Darwin in Action my Friends... Darwin in Action...

The panic is more dangerous than the virus.

The latter. I'm pretty sure Hand Sanitizer is out of stock everywhere.

Just use soap and water. Keep your nails trimmed.

Cleaning tip: use a commercial strength degreaser for surfaces. It is designed to break down proteins in grease. So it breaks down proteins in viruses and bacteria too. If you are really cautious, use commercial degreaser diluted with water, than use a 10% bleach solution, mist it and leave on surface for like 10 seconds and then dry with paper towel then dispose.

Harbor freight sells a restaurant or mechanic-grade degreaser. So does Home depot or any restaurant supply. Dilute.

If you are really concerned about this virus, sanitize areas that are frequently touched like the gear shift and steering wheel of your car, doorknobs if you live with room mates, etc.

Launder your clothing, rags and sheets in warm water with an appropriate amount of detergent and tumble dry to dry, not damp.

If you are feeling symptoms of the Corona virus or any aching on the lungs get checked out because pneumonia can kill you very quickly. But most of all protect infants and the over 65 population, and people with preexisting health conditions, if they live with you. You might be sick for a day or two, and you could end up killing your ailing loved ones.

I am honestly skeptical that hand sanitizer is going to do a damn thing for you anyway. Keep your hands washed, nails trimmed and surfaces sanitized, for the sake of your more vulnerable loved ones. Obviously don't pick your nose or snot rocket or this kind of shit especially if you've been out and about.

Where did you read this because it was just confirmed today they wouldn’t meet the goal of 1 million test kits by end of week.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar told reporters Thursday that a private manufacturer authorized to make the tests expects to ship the kits to U.S. laboratories by week’s end. That amounts to the capacity to test roughly 400,000 people, given that it takes multiple test samples to a confirm a result.
What you saw was probably MSM goalpost shifting. Hahn promised at the beginning that there would be enough material for labs so it would not be bottleneck. But all those stories say oh we can't have 1 million testing capacity by end of week. Of course not! You probably need to convert all McDonald's drive throughs to sample collection stations to collect that many samples per day.

So? I've never heard of this guy; why does it matter that he said something stupid? Twitter cried? Give me a better metric than that.
