Ethan went live about 50mins ago "The Cancelling of Sean Gordon Murphy. LIVE" His currently got about 1600 people watching, one of his more watched streams in a long time, almost like the good ole days of 2000-2500 instead of the 500 his been getting lately. Just goes to reinforce what the Quarter Pounder was saying, people aren't interested in infighting and are more interested in counter culture vs SJW type content.

This is an outrage. I routinely get 1200 viewers with no topic, and 1500 viewers when I have an interesting topic.

The only times I've seen 2000-2500 viewers was with the High Council.

1618 was good! And I kept it short, which is better for the algorithm!

Doug Ernst's problem is that his kinda boring. He seems like a great guy personally and has been active in CG long before it was even named, but I never really could bring myself to finish his videos and stopped watching them altogether. Still I've got nothing against him, I didn't back his Soulfinder book because I didn't know about it, but its been getting rave reviews from critics on youtube.

I guess he's fine. Didn't watch a lot of his videos since I found him fairly boring to listen to, but I never had any issues with him and he seems nice enough. Actually forgot he existed until you brought him up

Well yeah but ethans whole channel is bitching about doug, mike and edwin...no wonder why he's hiding subs. But its funny ethan brings up how doug got a boost in his campaign, yet he's silent when others like tug used his mailbox hoax for petty bucks and zack got bigger funding when he got ti'd.

Pocket's week in Comicsgate really laid out the idea that Comicsgate stands for nothing.

* Is it a consumer revolt? Frog has says that movement is dead.
* Is it a right wing/Christain conservative reaction to SJW influence on comics? Frog kicked those guys out.
* Is it about so-called great comics being made by crowd funding? Late projects and outright theft say no. The objectively best project from Indiegogo is Earthworm Jim, not part of Comicsgate. Also, there are many good things being put out by Marvel/DC/Image/Indy comics.
* Is it just a empty marketing hashtag?
* Is it just whatever Frog says it is?
Hmmmm.

The part of CG that wanted Marvel to reverse the gender and race swaps of popular super heroes in the comics always seemed meaningless, once you lose an audience they aren't coming back. That Legacy launch was a laughable attempt to appease fans that jumped ship, and they couldn't even get Wolverine's claws right.

The industry pros jumping in to coopt the hashtag as a brand was at least mildly interesting.

I really wonder if SGM can look in the mirror and still call himself an artist now. I've not observed titles like Coward and Bootlicker have ever been associated with figures like Mozart or Harper Lee. And I don't know how he expects his Murphy-Verse to succeed after indirectly calling Christianity a Hate movement. If he's that afraid of the twitter mafia, it's surely going to be another SJW comic that SJWs don't buy.

I think Comicsgate means different things to different people. We have an audience full of aggrieved fans that are upset, characters they have loved their entire lives have been destroyed by identity politics. For me I want to give them an alternative. I want to give them new characters. My book is late. As project leader that's on me. I let fans read it on digital if they want to. Most people have been very happy and I have given refunds to those who were not.

Happened a bit faster than I expected, but I was waiting for this. Let the purity tests on Murphy begin! if he's smart, he'll ignore this nobody like he should done earlier or I hope he enjoys only working with a pre-approved list of people from now on.

I do like how Blake is CG now because she acts like an adult and talks to people on an individual basis instead of blackballing an entire group. These idiots need to stop drawing lines in the sand over comics and learn how to just make money on them. I've talked to Blake before, she's nice and keeps the twitter sperging to a minimum.

Backerkit finally updated 39 minutes ago giving us some idea of how the whole Tess Fowler/SGM/ Doug TenNapel drama ended up affecting the campaign.

BFB2 was clearly in a downtrend as most campaign's usually are front and end loaded and we are in the middle phase. On the 03/05/20 the total backers was 12 with a total cash value of $1034. The next day was the first day of the drama and resulted in 61 backers for a cash value of $5074, today so far (the second day) BFB2 has had 25 backers for a cash value of $2211. YaBoi Zack and the Quarter Pounder have also done videos recently talking about the troontroversy so we may see a steady uptick for BFB2 for the next few days until everyone forgets about it or something else comes up.
