I don't mind shooting back at his exceptionalism. It gives me more chances to criticize the show, something that is always enjoyable.
It honestly refreshing to see somewhere that will actually criticize the show to any extent. Everywhere I go has been praising this show to high heavens. /co/ has to be weirdest place so far, since anytime you try to criticize Future, you’re accused of projecting or encouraging toxic behavior. But then again it’s /co/ which is probably even worse than Reddit or tumblr.

Rant aside, Future (like vanilla SU) has a ton of good ideas but piss poor execution. The first few episodes held a lot of promise and it seemed like it was going somewhere interesting but didn’t pan out so well. But because it’s so good at pulling at heartstrings, it gets a pass from everyone (Seriously, ask someone why Future is good besides the feels.)

A shoutout to the people that enjoy watching the show as a trainwreck. Nice.

These episodes were actually good though.

And some decent shipping.
I will admit In Dreams was a pretty decent episode all things considered. And while I still think Bismuth Casual was full on filler, Bismuth is a much better choice for Pearl than Mystery Girl.

Dunno, it developed the characters in a meaningful way.

I also like how it doesn't really come out of the blue. Thinking back you see that Pearl has a "type".

I disagree with that if we’re talking about Bismuth. She had plenty of interesting plot points like her anger towards the Diamonds as a member of a servant race, her conflicted feelings over Rose/Pink, cracking Lapis’ gem, etc. Instead, Bismuth just has a crush on Pearl. Nothing will come from this outside a last minute hook up.
Though she manages to hit Pearl’s type without the creepy implications of Mystery Girl.

This purple nigga a troll at this point.

I enjoyed the first episodes of S1 because they felt genuine and charming but after a while nothing happened and only got somewhat invested, like everyone else, when the Garnet reveal happened. It's very telling of your quality writing when one twist, after 49 episodes, is what brings people in to your show.

I willing to bet that it will end like AT, in the sense that at Cons, AT panels were monstrously packed but after (or before, I can't remember) the finale, there were actual empty seats. It's going to be a shell of what it once was, which wasn't pretty good in the first place.

Those issues aren't going to be solved since its SU. I personally think it is extremely appropriate to set Pearl up with a good partner at the very end since her whole character's drama is about bad relationships.

I think the same thing keeps happening with shows nowadays. The artists make a fun show to win over the CA/Nick but then have no long term plan and an angst that forces them to be edgy and overly dramatic.

If by "wonderful", you mean that they're plotless filler that pander to tumblr audiences and have the same conflict of Steven losing his shit.
I feel like I’m the only one in this thread who’s ever actually paid attention to the show.
He's clearly trying to get a rise out of some of you.
By expressing my appreciation for a show that’s enjoyed near-universal critical acclaim for its entire run.
Everywhere I go has been praising this show to high heavens.
As they should.

Yeah, my only other complaint is that it happened this late and it only amounted to some teasing. It would have been nice to see some development from earlier but I digress. It seems at this point, the show isn’t even trying to be a kid’s show and is more of a diet teen drama.

The effect has been felt for a while now. From 2014-2016, it was one of the most popular cartoons and seemingly on top of the world. From 2017 onward, backlash set in and fans turned against it, followed by a downwards spiral caused by poor pacing, the controversial twist and the rushed ending. At this point, the only people watching the show dedicatedly are hardcore fans who need to see how it ends; everyone has moved on to other shows.

We made in depth posts about what we didn’t like about the show. You never go beyond “It’s good, you just don’t get it.”

It’s a thread full of dumb takes and sjw-panic lol
Many of our posts don’t have to do with social justice and most of them deal with the show’s pacing, plotting, characterization, sappiness, etc. I’d you think they’re dumb, actually point out why.
We’re already bitching about a muslim character. And i don’t think it even had any lines in the episode.
She did but that’s not the point.
Having a Muslim character is something seen a lot recently and there’s even a Muslim main character on Glitch Techs. The problem is that a Muslim exists when Sugar said that religion doesn’t exist in SU’s world. Combined with how late she was introduced, it feels insincere.

They’re bad takes fueled by sjw-panic. Although I am impressed that nobody took my obvious bait with the muslim post-

I honestly can’t tell if you’re a troll or a genuine fan, because SU fans argue the same way.
I’m just saying, if you genuinely have a problem with what people say here, you contribute by explaining your stance on the show and what’s so good about it. If you gave me the chance, I’d gladly give you the ins and outs of what I like to start a conversation.

He doesn't want to start a conversation he just wants to ree like an autistic asshole because we don't fawn over gay(but not really because they are aliens) non-binary (but not really because they are fucking rocks and rocks don't have gender) space rocks.
