If anyone has experience: How fast does dementia worsen? What should we expect Biden to look like come November?

It's entirely dependent on the person. In some cases it can take several years, in some cases the person is just completely gone in under a year. A decent way to measure it is to just chart out their cognitive decline over time, and since Joe Biden has been stepping out in front of a camera every day or so for the past year, we're able to follow it really closely and easily compare it to how he was able to talk very clearly back in 2016, or Hell, even earlier in 2019. He's not even talking off-the-cuff in that clip up there, he's reading from a teleprompter and he's still stuttering, rambling, and looking around like he barely knows where he even is.

I'm not even honestly certain that Joe's going to make it all the way to November and still be coherent. I'm having a difficult time even wanting to make fun of him anymore because it's blatantly obvious that he's not alright, he's barely getting any sleep because of the campaign trail, and at his age that's really starting to get dangerous. This is just elder abuse at this point.

Not gonna lie, considering how old, and/or unhealthy these candidates are, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them actually dies before the end of this election cycle.

Biden's dementia rotted brain could end him, Bernie's heart could give out again, and Corona-chan could swoop in through the White House doors, and take out Trump. And those are only just some of the possibilities!

All I know is that after 2016, literally anything can happen. Nothing is impossible, nor certain now.

Trump should run this in a campaign ad and go "I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message"

EDIT: Oh and I bet the stress from a job like the POTUS would help make the dementia worsen even more quickly.
Trump is definitely going to use this if/when Biden gets the nomination

From what I understand and have seen through family members is that it depends on disease and the individual involved. Since announcing his presidential bid Biden's gone from making ""gaffes"" monthly, to weekly, to daily, to hourly. Some of that has to do with increased stress and more media focus as it gets closer to the election. Biden had several brain moments at a rally where he apparently spoke from a teleprompter for 7 minutes, is slurring his words, and apparently has started ducking interviews with favourable media. These are terrible signs.

Anecdotally he reminds me of my great grandmother, who was terrific until she suddenly hit a wall in her late 90s. She appeared to have very similar brain degradation to Joe, the first year she started slurring more, lost some short term memory, couldn't remember names or finish her sentences coherently (oh, you know the thing), remembered and relied on possible events 30+ years ago (corn-pop). Sadly the Alzhiemers hit hard and by the second year she might remember the name of her daughter on the best day.

Because they are infantilized adults people still call 'kids' who have been programmed to believe that special interest groups control everything in much the same way some believe the Ubermensch Jews control everything.
They don't think voting matters as much as forming/joining groups.
Because they care more about Social Media asspats than they do actually voting.

Hot take: What if the youth vote isn't showing up for Bernie because he doesn't have it? Millenials are starting to hit middle age, and gen Z would be bigger rebels by going right wing instead of left wing. Plus, solely anecdotally, most Bernie Bros are losers who actively turn people off. What Bernie has instead of a movement is a bunch of grifters who sound louder than their actual numbers.

Yeah, this is why people back in 2013-14 were warning the left that the whole "be as obnoxious and divisive as possible and declare anyone who disagrees with your tactic an evil bigot" thing was a terrible fucking idea, since it was the surest way possible to convince everyone who witnessed it that the shit being pedalled was not worth getting involved with one way or another.

And naturally they were all dismissed as "TRYING TO ENFORCE RESPECTABILITY POLITICS WHILE NIGGOS AND HOMOS AND WAMMEN ARE LITERALLY DYING!" and exiled out of the ingroup so.....to once again steal a quote from the Joker

Turns out that the whole "be completely fucking insufferable because being respectable and moderate is too boring and icky" thing was a terrible fucking idea. Enjoy the coming four years of an old white male segregation supporter who gropes women in the whitehouse....unless ofcourse Trump somehow wins against the veritable juggernaut that is the biden campaign...

- daily reminder that our nigga Plod Turd Man actually tweeted this video out -

It depends. My father died from it but when he first got it, it was extremely slow moving. But then he fell and whacked his head and right after that it was like a snowball rolling downhill. His doctor said that's fairly common - that it can be slight and then a big injury or trauma will accelerate it like dominoes falling.

I've seen a lot of articles speculating who will run for the GOP nomination in 2024, regardless of what happens in 2020, though I do believe Trump will win. I can't help but feel we're in so much better shape than the Dems. There's a ton of credible names on the possible contenders list, whether you like them or not: Vice President Pence, Gov. Haley, Gov. De Santis, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Scott from SC, Sen. Scott from FL, Sen. Hawley, Sen. Paul, Rep Crenshaw, Don Jr, Ivanka... There's something for everybody on that list. That's a murderer's row of a lineup.

As for the Dems? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the next Dem President is not yet a household name. I don't see anyone currently even close to being able to win. They've had 12 years to find a successor to Obama and they're no closer than they were in 2008.

"A life-long democrat, a proud democrat, an Obiden-Bama democrat!"

"We're gonna' bring together America of every--American of ever--ethnicity, gender, economic station!"

"If you think big enough and bold enough, to build the future this nation that one that deserves!"

Seriously just let this dude retire holy shit

That so much effort has been put into making Biden the nominee makes me genuinely think that the democrats are actively trying to lose this election. I dunno, maybe this is the hillary faction of the democrat establishment looking to utterly discredit their obama faction rivals and vindicate hill-dawg for losing to Plod Turd Man.

But then I have kinda been blaming hillary goons for everything wrong with the democrats as of late so I should probably get off that old hobby horse and face up to the fact that even without the eternal karen manipulating shit behind the scenes, the democrats are a sprawling fucking shitpile ruled by barely functional rich kids, out of touch corporate woke sychophants, literal diversity hires, and screeching wannabe revolutionary speds, all bankrolled by donors who are possibly even more clueless and dysfunctional as them.

The only question is that should they lose again this november, will they finally learn the lessons even us dumb niggers were screaming at them back in 16?

And if they do, what the hell will they turn in to when they stop intentionally retarding themselves?

He's just channeling his inner Sharpton, a very bold strategy I must say.

I occasionally browse the popular tab on reddit to see sad, depraved shit. But since the day Biden became the clear frontrunner for the Democrats, something just flipped and now I can't go 5 posts without seeing an article about something stupid or nonsensical that Trump said. I consider myself fairly politically active, but a good half of these stories are new to me or I've only seen them in passing and thought they were unimportant.

I guess my biggest question is, why? Of all reddit users, a fraction live in the US. Of American users, a fraction are of voting age. Of those, a fraction are going to actually vote. And of the voters, only a fraction are going to vote Democrat, let alone Bernie. What's the point in policing content and coaxing people into voting how they like when it's going to be so ineffective?

Because Trump used social media literally hundreds of times better than Obama did and won against HRC. This led to the incorrect idea that social media caused Trump to win.
And now the social media companies are burning themselves down attempting to stop him.
This will fail to do anything but cause massive amounts of legal problems for them.
