Severe mental illness is a slow undigified death buddy. It's all well and good to sit and preach about how we're above that but being above that is exactly what has opened the door to these severely mentally unstable troons defining policy and using their mental illness to infringe on the rights of others. Giving people who clearly cannot make informed sane decisions the top of the progessive stack to the point they can deny scientific fact and be appaluded and supported.

If being a troon meant you got locked away from normal society this thread wouldn't exist.

Trannies have no treatment and in the era of self-ID it's made worse by fetishists. Anything other than support and affirmation of them will result in vicious attacks. They're already convinced medicine to support that, there's almost no mental health professionals who actually treat what might be the underlying issues, only support affirm and assist in mutilation of a healthy body. This thread is a testament to that.

Mental Health is a nigh untreatable field if you have something severe. That's why so many of the homeless and degerates of society are usually severely mentally ill, because there is no treatment! couple that with the fact that those who are extremely mentally ill often don't think they are. They end up in incredibly damaging loops of taking meds, getting a bit better, stopping meds, become so unstable as to be re-admitted and the cycle begins again. They drive their family away and become a blight on society and often times dangerous. The current medical established can't, won't, or don't want to deal with them so they bandage them and send them off again.

There's quite a few of the severely mentally ill who would benefit from being locked up, forced to take meds, and staying in their own community. They're already useless, having them somewhere to keep them would just keep them out of trouble. Until mental health becomes a forefront issue and more money is put into the study and understanding of the brain, it's just going to get worse not better. You can't call putting them somewhere where they cannot hurt others and be forced to take their meds that do help them taking away their independence, when their idea of indepedance is homeless, filthy, unmedicated, dangerous, paranoid, etc.

Imo. If they made a magical pill tomorrow that fixed troons you think that any of them would take is? Of course not. They don't think there's anything wrong with themselves! Half of the troons in this thread are in it only for the power it gives them and because it gets their rocks off. Not because they have any form of dysphoria.

And when did I say to never involuntarily admit someone or that trannies are not severely mentally ill and in need of treatment? I am very much for getting people with mental illness into treatment, because I know it will slowly destroy them if left untreated.

I only said it's inhumane to lock up mentally ill people for the rest of their lives just because they make you uncomfortable and are hard to deal with. Having an illness does not negate your human rights or your humanity.

I also said the deinstitutionalization during the 70s was a good thing because the hospitals were a drain on communities and because people got worse in these institutions, because it was too easy to put people in there forever and then forget about them.

I just watched Washington State LGBT Commissioner Tobi-Hill Meyer's cinematic masterpiece The Genderfellator. I do agree. The problem is that there is a small section of society who just cannot function. They will never work, they will not adhere to medication and they are an active danger to themselves and to others. that bloke who chucked a child off the TATE gallery roof for example. The idea of having a system where you can be locked up for life is horrific. But they need something.
