25 years doesn't sound like much considering the heinous shit he has done, but child abusers aren't liked in prison so he's going to have hell of a time there. Who knows, maybe he will even get shanked?
Felons convicted of murder serve and average of 15 years in prison according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Based on his sentencing it's likely Levi will serve more than that. That's as much as I hoped for. I was waiting for some 5 year concurrent sentence bullshit.

25 years is more than enough for him to end up killed by someone who found out what he got charged for. Not even a-logging or anything, that's just how it is. Plus, Arizona.

He might be into that

For his sake he better be, as a kiddie fiddler in the U.S. prison system his choice is going to be between getting his face split open on a nightly basis or tossing the salad of which ever cell-block boss or untouchable Bubba has control of his ass for the night.

My understanding is that most West coast prisons (and federal prisons in general) are headed in this direction. The model comes from California, and it's been implemented to some degree in Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, etc. The basic rules are the same, and the one that interests here is: green light for chomos.

Texas, Florida, Alabama, NY, etc, do things very differently, and will in all likelihood continue to do so.

From what I understand, even the prisons in the East Coast and the South typically green light the chomos for death if it's a maximum security facility.

In most minimum security and some medium security places, sex offenders might stand a chance of surviving because nobody wants to cop a more serious charge that adds more time on their sentence and usually transfers them to a harder maximum security facility.

However, as a general rule, actual child molesters always get sent to maximum security facilities in those states unless they have a good lawyer and give up information on bigger fish.

Most of the sex offenders who end up in minimum security places tend to be guys like Mad Thad who get busted for CP or indecent exposure, but have no other criminal history beyond that.

Given the kind of crimes this guy has done and the sheer number of counts he's been charged on, he's probably going to a maximum security facility and if he's lucky, he might be kept in total solitary confinement.

Even in a protective custody unit, I'd wager someone would try to kill him to get some brownie points from other inmates.

How's a person even GET like that? Not that it changes my view on his type and how they should be dealt with (exterminate them), just I wonder if people like this are neurologically/empathically defective/twisted from infancy or via genetics and it just takes an event or two that are less than optimal, being brought up by similarly moral defectives or exposure to the wrong sexual content early enough to basic set them down the path that ends with cutting puppies open to rape them to death.
There are scientific findings that people who get the socio/psychopath title have brains with less wiring to the prefrontal cortex (guilt, empathy) and amygdala (anxiety, fear), so they're often erratic and destructive with their acts- intentional or not- with some eventually get off to seeing how they affect those around them. Kind of like drug addicts, they need to keep doing more and more dangerous shit to get the high they first felt in the beginning.
Crack turns to meth; killing the family pet turns to killing people.

Not to say all with antisocial/narc/borderline personalities turn out to be a Ted Bundy or Albert Fish, most just wreck their own lives (and friends and family, unfortunately) or are able to have a somewhat normal life by adapting.
It's also a nurture deal, but some freaks had totally normal childhoods and vice versa, so it's down to nature, nurture and choosing some dodgy game of Life options.

Whatever black hell awaits this creature is too good for him. Indeed, sometimes I wonder if humanity would not be improved if there were some sort of predator that all people would fear, just so that people like snake thing would understand terror.

He'll probably be in some kind of protective custody and they're likely to send him to a facility with a wing for people like him. It doesn't look good if inmates get murdered on your watch even if they're shit like Levi. And they're actually reasonably good at keeping these fuckers alive, if not unraped, unbeaten, un-extorted, and un-other-bad-things. He has a pretty miserable future although he's (more likely than not) going to be alive for a while.

That said it only takes one mistake, or one "mistake" by a correctional officer who accidentally leaves him alone with that crazy lifer. . .
