He's currently been on a Bernie Sanders sperging streak. Unless it was mentioned in passing on one of his full length segments, I don't think he's said anything about the Maza expose. The first time the feature forcing you to to delete a tweet to unlock your account appeared in public, it was used against a girl for posting screen shots of Randi Harper (who was marketing herself as an anti internet harassment activist at the time) siccing twitter mobs on her enemies. A twitter engineer at the time claimed it was a "glitch", but in hindsight, one of Harper's buddies at Twitter fucked up and outed a work in progress censorship feature months before it became a regular feature while trying to cover her ass. So yes, twitter employees can go "rogue" but Dorsey/twitter clearly don't care because they haven't done anything to prevent abuse of these features as long as the targets are on the "wrong side of history".

Yeah basically. Twitter moderation is staffed with activists who are comically biased when they think they can get away with it, which is 90% of the time.
Anyway, I find it funny that Levine did this big investigative report on Maza being a spoiled rich brat when we all knew it and took it as a matter of course ever since his initial drama with Crowder put him on our radar. We were calling him a champagne socialist from page 2. We didn't need to look into it, it was self evident from his behavior. Still, it's good to have it as a matter of official record.

He did it so he could try to frame revealing this information or talking about it at all as doxing and bullying his family. Maza is a crybully in the truest sense of the word, and he was clearly coming at this looking to spin it to make himself the victim and demand Levine be censored. Twitter even gave him a tiny bit of acknowledgement in that department, but not nearly enough to actually suppress the story, much like how things went with him and Crowder.
I rated you optimistic though, because I doubt he's going to lose many of his donors. Maza isn't what these people hate, they are him. Most of them are wealthy champagne socialist larpers themselves. These are the same fucks listening to and donating to Hasan Piker. Clearly they have no hang ups about paying very rich brats with no credentials to tell them what they want to hear. They're hypocrites to the core, and learning that Maza is a fellow hypocrite (as if it wasn't already obvious) will likely just make them relate to him more. It might limit his ability to grow and gain more influence, but expect his core fan base to stick around.

IIRC he didn't know about the story until it was about to be published (and sperged on Twitter to damage control prior to it's release) as far as Levine doing it on the downlow so Marza couldn't circle the wagons.
Also, Marza couldn't spike the story because at this point, TPTB are trying their fucking damnest to get Biden elected and faggots like Marza (who represent the sort of evil shit social climbing jealousy fag who hates on the rich because, at the end of the day, his family is "lower upper class" and not landed gentry 1%er upper class plus a spic who can't get into the really WASPy circles among the super fucking rich and see communism/socialism as the means to destroy the elites above him socially in the upper class and take their places and money) are fair game to out as frauds. The sheer volume of this kind of behavior by twitter staff re: the appeals process suggests to me that technical incompetence must play a role, since to do this manually as much as the site's users claim it happens would require a lot of manpower and a work environment consisting of everyone constantly overriding everyone else's decisions. I've heard bad things about twitter from coworkers, but not that bad. A couple ideologues trying to manipulate infrastructure to fight their internet battles for them seems a more likely way to arrive at this state of affairs.
Which leads me to guess it's a combination of multiple internal services using different metrics to trigger an account lock, possibly relying on user-fed white/black lists from twitter staff, that's running over each other. That would explain one case getting reviewed and then another opening in short succession. The account wasn't locked and re-locked so much as locked for one reason (that passed review) and then locked for another reason (that twitter doesn't disclose to you, the end user, naturally). From twitter's account security perspective that's two different incidents, even if it's the same general topic/thread, even if it's the same tweet.
Or maybe they really are run by orangutans and the bots have equal user permissions with support techs and keep accidentally overriding their resolutions, which makes for a funnier mental image.
