A running theme throughout the Bible is God working through imperfect people. Any time he tried to use a noble and righteous person, it inevitably went south in some way, like Moses disobeying his command and striking the rock to draw out water. From the beginning through the end, the Bible is full of people with flaws that still manage to do good.

I'm not religious by any stretch, but that's one thing I like about Christianity. If God chose perfect people, it would ruin the message and make their struggles seem uncredible. It's nothing like in Islam were Mohammad is put on a high pedestal that says, "This man is the TRUE and HONEST example to follow". At least I wouldn't be stoned to death for questioning their doctrine.

As for these leftist weirdos, they have a skewered sense of high standards. If they were God, they'd be smiting everyone left and right for tiny flaws.

I dunno, Job was pretty perfect.

Yeah, but that was more a story about showing Lucifer that humans were worthy of their free will and that they deserved to be in the lords image. Most theologians place it occuring before the rebllion and an act of god sacrificing the happiness and life of one of his most loyal followers to prevent the loss of some of his original creations including his favorite and most cherished creation Lucifer through his rebellion. The issue is most people only know the story through south park which horribly misrepresented it to make a joke about god not caring. It's part of the old testament, if I'm not mistaken, so it isn't really talked about it's also before God's son came to earth and showed his father not only the value of individual life but that man acts against god out of misinformation and not willingly wanting to spurn him. Point is Job had it made and would of sacrificed his life if god saw fit and god did for a reason Job could not understand at the time, an attempt to prevent the rebellion of Lucifer.

No Christian actually thinks that Trump is perfect, but it doesn't take much to look at the Democrat platform and say "y'know, I'll take the guy who made that pussy-grabbing joke over any of those chucklefucks."

The reason I can vote for him is the same reason most Christians can, on one side you have the adulterer billionaire who isn't trying to promote the LGBTQAAIP2s+ agenda, who want's us to say merry Christmas, who mentions god occasionally in a way that isn't filled with sneering condemnation, and whose background music isn't a vacuum and the crunching of a babies skull.

On the other side you have the people talking about Trans rights testing the water for pedophilia, bestiality and incest, who openly promote a fuck everything with a pulse narrative "love is love", who try to celebrate the termination of an infant for any reason "Celebrate your abortion", who constantly mock and belittle our faith , who have demanded that sending prayers is oppressive, who are for taking away our churches if they don't follow the narrative, and who want us to give them our children so they can learn what they think whatis right and what is wrong.

Sure by no means is trump a good christian man but comparatively he's a saint. He wants to stop progress to where it is right now and to most people that is the best we are going to get.

That reminds me of one of my favorite passages in the Bible. Where Jesus is watching a group of people calling for a woman to be stoned for her sins. He is asked for his approval and he says: “let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
It wasn’t till years later that I realized that he was probably saying this in a very subtly sarcastic tone.

That is... not in any of the theology I heard.

See what I said about a can of worms?

Yep, and I'm debating on removing it since I don't want this thread to devolve into Kiwi bible studies.

Didn't Ben "The Anglo-Saxon purity Klaxon" Garrison draw him as Samson?
Samson died after getting his hair cut off, and also seduced and captured by a thot. Then he killed himself after being a figure of fun for a long time by destroying the infidel.

So unless you're saying Trump is going to do a kamikaze run on the MSM, this isn't a good comparison. But this IS a Ben Garrison cartoon, so...

See, that's the thing I don't get about progressives. What's the end game? Because from my POV I don't see one, unless it's the perversion and subversion of everything moral and decent in the world.
They wanted gay marriage- they got it. They promptly moved on to the next thing, pushing the trans agenda. Where the fuck does it stop? We can't begin to take seriously the radicals who advocate 'no police, no prisons, no ICE,' (just complete lawlessness I suppose), therefore we must nip this shit in the bud RIGHT NOW and stop this grand delusion of "progress." I think to them progress means change simply for the sake of change, especially to appease the most whiney and decadent of the group.
I get it, everyone needs to feel productive. But this social justice shit ain't it.
