Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I'm a little out of the loop. So, how dangerous is this COVID Coronavirus? Some people I know have been saying that it's about as dangerous as the flu, others have been saying it's worse, a few of them could care less. I just want a clear answer.

Ken Cuccinelli, others to testify before House Homeland Security committee

Tldr: a lot of hard questions being asked near the end.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock answers questions for an hour in Parliament this evening.
Noticed how he dances around the ventilator/intubator question near the end, hah?

Because they broke up any central procurement in the NHS because it doesn't work to the differing profiles of each NHS trust's region. Ventilators would go by population, meaning London and Manchester first before everyone else as chances of mass casualties are high.

They'll probably agree a set standard, or try and negotiate with manufacturers of said ventilators etc.

Coronavirus: Man forced to self-isolate with body of dead sister for 36 hours
So the video was real, wow that’s scary, wonder how many of the Iranian body bags videos are legitimate too.

Travis AFB (minor) update
  • Hospital staff are still under direct orders not to use PPE in attempts to keep people from being concerned/asking questions, despite the inevitable spread it will cause to other airmen, to patients, to families, etc. The only exception is staff officially interacting with their own patients.
  • As a likely result, old fucks are wandering around the hospital with their provided masks pulled down to their chins, exposing their noses and mouths. Most of them are in the waiting rooms for the ER, family health and the pharmacy, causing maximum risk via crowding.
  • Hospital staff capable of working remotely from home are still not being allowed to do so.
  • The civilians on base as well as most of the airmen seem to have zero clue as to what's going on, QZ, hospital cases and all.
  • The family health doctors have been accepting call-in appointments via just regular phone calls when feasible. This saves them time and whatnot, so I imagine it's something they'll want to keep up even long after this is all over.
  • The HLVC (heart, lung and vascular clinic) in the base hospital just had three or four newly-arrived boxes of N95 stolen, likely by the same sorts of sandniggers and regular niggers who are subcontracted civilians (mostly janitorial) that get away with stealing drugs on a regular basis.
  • The ability to put in for leave or get that leave approved may about to be seriously hampered very soon.

Is it not more marginalizing to risk spreading the virus even further?

I really have the feels for those poor, marginalized Harvard students. This is the second overwrought tweet-whine I've seen from entitled university kids, completely blind to the fact that they're actually part of the educated moneyed classes. Y'all are grown adults now. If you have an "unsafe home environment," you can leave.

Swansea University has a very large Asian/Chinese contingent because of the subjects they teach. Engineering is very big.

I would imagine that Oxford is the same, even if they do get a better class of chink there. Studying Mathematics and whatnot.

Pretty much all mainstream Universities in the UK teach engineering. Most of the Swansea students i know that are asian are doing humanities. Swansea isn't considered a particularly 'engineering' focused uni, or in the top ranked unis at all.
In Oxford there are a lot of Chinese tourists (visiting the historic sites) as well as students. I believe the first student case was someone returning from visiting family in Asia, though there was a case at New College recently, I believe they are European.

I'm definitely starting to get genuinely worried about this I'm sorry to say.

I think it's safe to say we're well past the point of Ebola in 2014, aren't we?
it depends how you measure it, I guess. ebola killed a shit-ton of people, but it was mostly confined to a small location. but I guess you could also argue that there's some evidence that China has been underreporting deaths due to the virus. Regardless, if it's not surpassed ebola yet in death numbers, I'm sure it soon will.

I feel for any students who are getting kicked out of their dorms early. Packing up all your stuff can be a haul and one real pain in the ass especially if you have a long way to drive home. You schedule that stuff weeks/months in advance.

Also, really sucks for anyone whose parents rent out their room while at school.

Time for some horrible news.
Henan province has a record of 12 days without any new patients diagnosed with Coronachan, city of Zhenzhou is at 19 days.
This is all about to change because of one "super carrier" named 郭偉鵬 (Guo Weipeng, I'll call him Guo, or whatever chink racial slur that spurs into my mind).

This guy has been travelling all over the fucking planet to spread the virus. No, not China, the planet. He has so much disposable income it seems. He has now been arrested by the officials of Zhenzhou.
View attachment 1182893
So 1st of March to the 10th, in the short span on 7 days, he took the plane 6 times and high speed rail twice.
Zhenzhou > Beijing 690km
Beijing > Abu Dhabi 6000km
Abu Dhabi > Milan/Milano (Italian city) 4600km
Milan > Paris 640km
Paris > Milan 640km
Milan > Abu Dhabi 4600km
Abu Dhabi > Beijing 6000km
Beijing > Zhenzhou 690km
So basically, this chink took a massive detour to Paris from Zhenzhou and back to Zhenzhou, in the short span of 7 days, he travelled 24,000km, or half of the fucking globe.

The author comments "one city a day, is this guy fucking human? He flies better than a bat."
So the head of the police department speculates on this route, maybe it's because plane tickets are cheap and he's there to see whatever gayass ball-related sporting shit, to which he contacted the virus, in Italy.

He knows he got the virus, and yet chose to fly back to China using this autistically laborious route, potentially exposing thousands of people across the globe to the virus.
So what does he do when it carries the Italiano flavoured coronachan back into China, after showering it on different cities? He starts to hide the virus and roams the city.
View attachment 1182899
This is basically his routine on the 9th. Circulating the city, and buying some bullshit TCM junk, whatever roots of some dumb plant.
The police called him and asked if he's been outside of China to which he denies, called his mum and was met with the same denial. Seems like lying is pathological in his family.

The police got worried and decided to pay this slant-eyed bat a visit, he was covered in sweat coughing, claims it's due to the TCM rubbish he's been eating.
View attachment 1182900
So let's see. The company he works at is now back offline. The entire building is now quarantined. 24 people who had close contact with this slant are now quarantined. However, the people who contacted this bastard in Beijing and obvious abroad is unknown.

Here's the guy:

Lots of non-cursing colloquial slang plastered on this thing's face. He's being called "Virus king of Zhenzhou".

The same goes with that 2 families, 8 people that returned from Italy:

So yeah, watching some stupid niggers and white trash play with balls is more important than global health.

The post then talks about how the wuflu is a combination of SARS and AIDS, as it will attack one's immunity system and lungs. It then ends with paying respects to the deceased.

Another 6 returned from Italy and was diagnosed with the virus that they knew they had:

They worked at some Italian restaurant, broke the law to fly back and will be punished, hopefully.

Here's people voicing their anger:
View attachment 1182913
"Use some war-time laws, execute him! Put your hands up if you agree!"
"Please share this to raise awareness, hope people from Zhenzhou learn about his movements and protect themselves".
"Does Beijing airport not test people returning? It's scary if true!"
"I heard they are serious about it, but some dodge it by eating fever suppressing medicine"
"Why wasn't he registered after arriving at Beijing, and traced?"
"Guo you virus king, you wanna kill everyone in Henan, is that what makes you happy? Prosecute him, we must do it! Get his entire family prosecuted!"
"What are the virus prevention people doing, he should have been quarantined the moment he got off the plane, there's exploits that must be fixed"

I hope he eats a bullet. 1.4 billion - 1 = 1.4 billion. There's enough to execute.

Edit: Apparently this guy is also a law enforcement professional. Maybe a cop or something. Nice... very nice.
Edit: His dox and workplace
患者郭某鹏,男,30岁,现住二七区蜜蜂张街道办事处京北社区中原东路73号楼,职业为:浩昶劳务派遣公司派遣到郑州市交通运输局执法支队郑东新区执法大队劳务人员。
He's a part of transportation law enforcement. His workplace is 3km away, so the information is believable.

Ah yes, go watch some low IQ dipshits put ball into location A or B.
Virus Kng of Zhenzhou would be a great title for a book about Corona-chan.

Wow, they are officially shutting down the state university campuses here in Iowa at the end of day Friday and moving all classes online until at least April 3rd.

Professors are losing their shit trying to migrate everything online. I don't know what is going to happen to lab classes that literally cannot be taught online.

When a major American sports tournament is taking these precautions, you know things are getting serious.

I wonder if they'll cancel the thing outright if things keep going.

This virus is not going to take out the "old and inferm..." Or necessarily people with auto-immune conditions per se.

It is going to take out the Silents, Boomers and Gen X-ers, who have well lived-in bodies. Many of whom have interesting stories to tell and so much love to give. The kinds of people who were exposed to gas in basic training, older TB survivors who are the center of their immigrant families, members of medical teams exhausted from exposure and weakened from fighting infectious diseases in the past, devoted religious leaders who don't cancel services, Gen X-ers who smoked a lot back in the day and have cool stories to tell etc. Devoted community leaders who knew the risks, school teachers, availing themselves to serve their low-income students. Police, firefighters, social workers ... anybody who knows the risks and puts the needs of others before self.

Strong chance it will ravage communities of homeless.

It will spare wealthy elderly, surburan Karens, politicians. retired corrupt administrators, foul narcissists of any age. People who we would like to reduce to vapor and ash.

It will also kill younger people with any preexisting lung or kidney condition. Before they ever had a real chance.

So no, this isn't the cull we want.

I was merely musing and waxing philosophical.

But even if you are rich you can still be ill, even if it's mild. But on your wider points I agree. Well lived in bodies. Just like mine. Dope fiend for decades. Too much drink. Thankfully I've been pretty clean and serene the last decade. Gotta calm the fuck down sometime. I'd love to be able to hit it like I used to, but you know...

Hopefully it won't hit the homeless. Not in street-shitting San Fran anyway, places like that.

And hopefully it does not hit lawless places like certain parts of Chicongo. Really, there are so many variables that no one has considered them all yet.

I also agree with your point on narcs. My parents are narcs. They've been on deaths door for years but just will not give it up. I spoke with them yesterday. They are fine. They aren't bothered. They are going out in a blaze of glory come what may. The fuckers will survive this before I do. They feed on sheer spite, and the devil looks after his own.

Anyway, we never get the cull we want. There is no magic or silver bullet. But perhaps a rebalancing in favour of good human practices and what is important, would be in order. Probably won't get that either.

My girlfriend who was black * had pretty bad TB and it took her six months to beat it. I didn't think anything of sleeping next to her every night as she poured sweat on to the bed sheets. I was young and invincible. And I was. I never got TB. No one I have ever been in contact with has ever had TB since (so I know I'm not spreading it).

* Black people have higher incidence of TB.

The human body is holier than any Temple. Not even doctors know how it works, though they have a pretty good idea. They are still in the dark.

And the idea that this thing is a race-specific bio-weapon is also laughable. That day is a long way off just like true AI.

Some people will get it and survive, other people will get it and die or become seriously ill for the rest of their life, some will get it and just be dandy afterwards. Too early to say. Too many mutations to go.

But your rich people might still get it. Though, you know what. I wouldn't wish it on them. Even the greedy fuckers. There's only so much space in hell, and I'd like to think those spots are reserved for the truly evil, not just those that gamed an already corrupt system.

Too much waxing philosophical. Excuse me. I'll stop shitting up the thread now. Nothing more to add.

my university in the southern area of the States has extended our Spring Break by a week in order to "prepare" for campus health precautions blah blah blah AND when we return that it will be virtual instruction
My uni in IL has yet to do anything like this and I'm halfway through spring break.

I can't believe my parents and grandparents might die while the economy spirals into recession and my graduation gets delayed all because some disgusting idiot didn't wash his hands after eating a bat or a pangolin or whatever.

I want off the ride now.

it sucks, but the alternative is having a meetup of people from all around the country and world right around a major holiday season (spring break). on the scale of things, getting/passing around wuflu probably sucks more.

I wonder if that include social justice studies? If it can't be taught online, it's not a great loss.

Coronavirus chimpouts happening in Thailand!
Hundreds of starving wild monkeys fight over a single piece of food in Thailand

This is the astonishing moment hundreds of starving wild monkeys scramble for a single piece of food because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The primates are normally well fed by tourists in the city of Lopburi, central Thailand, but visitors have plummeted because of the virus sweeping the world.

So when one of the primates had a juicy banana, the entire pack roaming around the streets surrounded the creature this morning (March 11) and tried to grab it.

Footage shows how hundreds of monkeys began tussling for the snack. When one of the animals fled with it, the creatures chased it up a grass bank.

Even locals who are used to seeing the creatures were shocked by their ferocity.

Onlooker Sasaluk Rattanachai captured the scene from outside a shop where she works.

She said: ''They looked more like wild dogs than monkeys. They went crazy for a single piece of food. I've never seen them this aggressive.

''I think the monkeys were very, very hungry. There's normally a lot of tourists here to feed the monkeys but now there are not as many, because of the coronavirus.''

Lopburi is home to thousands of wild monkeys that roam the streets and buildings. Many live on the grounds of the city's ancient Buddhist temples.

Last month it emerged that wild monkeys in Thailand were suffering because of the coronavirus causing tourist arrivals to plunge by 44 percent.

Primates living in a public park in Songkhla, southern Thailand, are usually well fed by visiting tourists from Malaysia and China.

However, the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus has all but stopped the arrival of tourists to the area, where they would normally feed the wild monkeys.

Kind locals stepped in on Tuesday (Feb 26) evening to give the monkeys fresh watermelons and tomatoes.

This look just like a regular Detroit Chimpout, just the participants are more civilised.

Maybe in Hungary, US rats/mice love rice and I've found bugs in my pricey Basmati.

Nah sometimes they get buggy. But if you find a bug in your plastic bag wrapped rice, you can bet your sweet ass that the flour is already gone. Basmati is good eating, gentlecat of culture.
