Take this kind of medical negligence that clocks in at about a 7/10 and dial that shit up to 9/10, that's the military medical care standard and it's a big part of why people (including me) are about to start dropping the fuck dead here on Travis AFB. I don't just empathize with your niece, I sympathize with her. I'm glad she doesn't have shot lungs, but goddamn she needs to stop vaping.Just spoke to my niece who lives in Eastern Washington State. She started feeling very poorly while at work, went to an Urgent Care Center. Dr there told her she had pneumonia, gave her a Z-Pack and 2 whole days off work. No chest X-ray, no swab to check for Strain A, B or Corona. She saw her primary Dr the next day. He said it was probably "just the flu." but gave her the rest of the week off. Once again, no chest X-ray, no swab for any strain of flu. My niece is 26 and other than vaping (grrrr) is healthy.
On a related note; I fucking called it IRL again. I have not been exaggerating this whole time I've been using the word "dump" in regards to infected and exposed people getting dumped here.
1:35 p.m. Grand Princess passenger calls Travis AFB quarantine a “travesty”: Neil Kran, who disembarked yesterday from the Grand Princess and is quarantined at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, told The Chronicle he and his wife are running out of prescription medicines and having trouble getting a refill. Kran said they were not provided basic toiletry items. Instead, officials recommended they “use Amazon” to order products, he said in a text message. “They made no provision for basics ... perhaps overwhelmed by volume of folks running out of essential meds.” The 69-year-old Sausalito resident’s temperature was taken this morning,he said, but otherwise no other medical treatment or testing was offered. “This is going to be a difficult and painful stay,” Kran said. “No one seems to be in charge.”
