Not to get all preptard on anyone, but I think it might be prudent to obtain a personal stock of antibiotics, to deal with any secondary bacterial infections you or a loved one might get. If this thing spreads to a sizeable amount of the population, I can't imagine that the health care system will be able to cope. Italy can't, and it's not even reached the peak there yet.

I got a pack of 100 doxycycline last week by telling my doctor I was going travelling in a malarial region. Might save my or a loved ones life if the SHTF.

Dosing yourself with anything stronger than OTC painkillers is generally a bad idea if you don't know what you're doing. Some people had the bright idea to buy chloroquine when the clinical trials for that started looking good, that shit can blind you if you fuck up the dose.

Remember those 30 or so people in Iran who died of alcohol poisoning trying to cure themselves? Don't be like them. Don't take medicine if you don't know what it does. You can overdose, it can interact with other meds you're on, and with antibiotics it can lead to resistance that'll fuck everyone over even harder than the current plague.

Anyway, we got some sweet time off (until April 5th) here in Kazakh land too. Haven't really seen any panic buying so far, but who knows... Maybe it'll start once Corona-Chan makes herself known.
