Due to the coronavirus, some local law enforcement agencies say they will no longer respond to non-emergency calls in person but instead will just take reports online or by phone.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Delano Police Department said deputies and officers will still respond to life-threatening/emergency calls. They will also still be out in public doing investigations but will limit physical contact with the public for health and safety reasons.

Going to throw in another concern. This is in indirectly a response to police department not taking all calls.
One of the things not all people are aware about is the failure rate of calls coming in from mobile phones.
Every tower you see has a certain load rating before it shuts down. Generally speaking this is why when there is a real natural emergency you are not going to get your calls in. It's basically a cost cutting measure all telecoms implement. The failure rate due to overloads was 10 to 15% of their maximum listing of data transfer per tower per region.
The digital age has many advantages just be aware that when there is an emergency your cell phone may not work This info I got from a few friends in that industry several years ago.
Be aware of that when you use your cell phone during a natural/major emergency you might not get your call through.
Next as people are showing stores with empty shelves, this is starting to happen in my area too. I had a discussion with one of the mangers with a major, national budget store company. He just stated that they are having supply issues with everything that is coming in.
Things are starting to slowly go sideways as people in my area are not thinking and are listening to all of the bullshit on the news media.
This is a concern as many of us have been commenting not only the virus but panicked people that is going to make things worse.
So I am suggesting to take stock on what you really need. 2 gallons of bleach will hold you well. Mix your spray bottle 1 part per 10 or 1 oz per 10oz and you should be fine.
If you run out of drinkable water and your water is down in your neighborhood and you live in a house, tap into your hot water tank as generally speaking they hold from 20 to 55+ gallons of clean water. Just turn off the pilot light before removing the water.
Myself I like Alcohol for my basic surfaces and bleach on the non carpeted floors as well as in the rest room (old skool habit)
If for some reason you can not get bleach or low on your bleach, you can try Hydrogen Peroxide. Quaternary Disinfectants are also great to use and you can get it at your Janitorial Supply store.

My take Hydrogen Peroxide works great on certain things such as mold and most other things If I can not get anymore 70% (or higher) alcohol. I'll be stocking up on this stuff as atm its under $1.00 for 32 oz of it. Quats work well... Period, but again it comes down to price and availability.
Even though I am in a hot spot for abject stupidity I do not think that water and lights will be affected. But it might be in different parts of the world. So be prepared for this aspect.
You still time to prepare for it just be safe about it.
Next. My wife is slowly getting better but she still has the Type A virus which needs to work itself out of her system. She still requires O2, and I'm awfully tired but she is safe and hopefully will be able to get more than 3 hours of sleep per night. As stated before Type is a very nasty virus to have, It is easily catchable, and it can take weeks to get over it, months if you have a pre existing condition or are over the age of 60+, This are an example on what kind of care that might be expected if you catch Corona Chan on your lap.
Again the reasons why I am posting this type of information above is for you people that many has never had to go through a crisis of potentially this magnitude is you can get things done and do it well if you use your common sense. Use it and you should be fine. It's going to be hard work if you get isolated and you have someone that is injured or ill, but it is doable and again be calm and use your common sense when helping others.

London seems to be operating as though if they pretend the virus doesn't affect its denizens, then they can will forth that reality into being. Far too few people wash their hands as often as they're supposed to, so when there's panic buying (as there has been in London for a week now) the stocks are depleted by people reasonably hoarding toilet roll, soap etc but in the process deprive millions of people of essential goods, which just makes people freak out even more.
This virus is going to cause a recession, but I'd prefer that over thousands of unnecessary deaths any day. I know somebody in the NHS and things are properly fucked on that front. They don't have masks for the staff, and the ones they have ordered are cheaper but useless. Apparently, the cheap ones totally fail at providing a tight seal around the face for breathing, meaning the frontline staff are guaranteed to catch the bug when it reaches them.
