China on Friday issued a report on human rights violations in the United States.

Titled "The Record of Human Rights Violations in the United States in 2019," the report said the facts detailed in the document show that "in recent years, especially since 2019, the human rights situation in the United States has been poor and deteriorating."

The State Council Information Office released the report based on published data, media reports and research findings. It began by citing a quote from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in a speech on April 15, 2019: "We lied, we cheated, we stole ... It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment."

"The remarks of US politicians have completely exposed their hypocrisy of adopting double standards on human rights issues and using them to maintain hegemony," read the report.

The United States released annual reports to "distort and belittle" human rights situation in countries and regions that did not conform to US strategic interests, but turned a blind eye to the "persistent, systematic and large-scale" human rights violations in its own country, the report said.

Consisting of foreword and seven chapters, it detailed facts on human rights violations in the United States relevant to civil and political rights, social and economic rights, discrimination suffered by ethnic minorities, discrimination and violence against women, living conditions of vulnerable groups, and abuses suffered by migrants, as well as US violations of human rights in other countries.

The lack of restraint in the right to hold guns has led to rampant gun violence, posing a serious threat to citizens' life and property safety in the United States, the report said.

"The United States is a country with the worst gun violence in the world," read the report. In total, 39,052 people died from gun-related violence in the United States in 2019, and a person is killed with a gun in the United States every 15 minutes, figures showed.

Wealth polarization in the United States hit a 50-year high in 2018, the report said. In 2018, the wealthiest 10 percent held 70 percent of total household wealth. The bottom 50 percent saw essentially zero net gains in wealth over the past 30 years, it noted.

Regarding discrimination suffered by ethnic minorities in the United States, the report said the political structure and ideology of white supremacy in the United States have caused ethnic minorities to suffer all-round discrimination in various fields such as politics, economy, culture and social life.

Since 2016, white supremacy in the United States has shown a resurgence trend, leading to racial opposition and hatred, it noted.

Women in the United States face severe discrimination and violence, according to the report. Women in the United States were 21 times more likely to die by firearm homicide than women in peer nations, it noted, adding that sexual assault cases against women kept increasing.

About the living conditions of vulnerable groups, the report said tens of millions of US children, elderly people, and disabled people live without enough food or clothing, and face threats of violence, bullying, abusing and drugs.

"The US government not only has insufficient political will to improve the conditions for vulnerable groups but also keeps cutting relevant funding projects," read the report.

While levels of extreme poverty worldwide had dropped dramatically, the poverty ratio of US children was about the same rate as 30 years ago, it said.

The report noted the increasingly strict and inhumane measures taken by the US government against immigrants in recent years, in particular, the "zero-tolerance" policy, which caused the separations of many immigrant families.

Many unaccompanied immigrant children were held in overcrowded facilities, without access to adequate healthcare or food, and with poor sanitation conditions, the report said.

It noted grave abuses at detention facilities for immigrants, including injecting them with sedatives, keeping them in handcuffs, and depriving them of clothing and mattresses.

The United States also wantonly trampled on human rights in other countries and was responsible for many humanitarian disasters around the world, according to the report.

The economic embargo against Cuba and the unilateral sanctions against Venezuela imposed by the United States had been a massive and flagrant violation of the human rights of people in these countries, the report said.

The United States withdrew from several multilateral mechanisms, including the UN Human Rights Council and the UN Global Compact on Migration, shirking off its international obligations and making troubles to the international governance system, it noted.

You all really thought USA was really number 1?

If you want to know about Chinese influence, look no further than Bloomberg.

He funds groups with organizations that align exactly with the human rights complaints raised in the Chinese report. He makes billions from dealing with them, they spend tons of money publishing through his media empire. It's a case of one hand washing the other.

The Chinese have a term called sinoization, it's what they do to change cultural norms to suit their view of the world. It's been going on in the US since around 2012, when Xi came to power. Personally, I see it as an act of war and wonder when the US will choose to respond.

To any of the posters bitching about right wing would if they could cancel culture - you're absolutely right, that would happen, there's a certain level of hypocrisy. At the same time, I would not hesitate to cancel any Communist with an ice pick. What you animals do is a million times worse, fuck you.

The true irony of right-wingers crying constantly about deplatforming and cancel-culture is that you'd do it yourselves in a heartbeat if you could. Trying to organise everybody to mass-downrate and exclude a poster because you don't agree with their political views is the weakest shit I've ever seen. At least liberals are honest enough to use the block function to preserve their safe space.

You do know that Clinton and Weinstein were the ones who started this cancel culture, right? Attack enemies of the party?
The Republicans just respond doing it to the Democrats and vice versa.

It's even true here on Kiwifarms.

Let me educate you. (Most capitalists (aka white bugmen) need re-educating, don't feel too bad.)

You mean educate me with Democrat Liberal controlled media?

Ok.

The crazy thing is the language used to discuss oppressing minorities here is cribbed from leftist pomo academics in the West. Those academics' work is helping foreign hostile Communist propaganda. Just think about it.
You have that backwards.

Chinese propagandists write that shit in coordination with US scholars they fund through grants. Those scholars introduce it into classrooms as critical theory, the drones they train graduate and enter media.

It's a pipeline. The report in the OP is just a cap.

I have been chat banned, ratings taken away, and called a "blight on this website" by Null.

All while users socially ostracize me, threaten to rape, kill, and maim me every single day.

I will fight to absolute defeat. If Mao did the Long March, so can I.

hell yeah my chigga keep up the good fight

China cares about money. And technological competition not unlike the USSR before it collapsed under totalitarian Communism.

And since China thinks their "smarter" and that their totalitarian Communism "No seriously, we're ethnically smarter than others" is untouchable, when they bankrupt themselves like USSR, it'll take years of economic PTSD therapy to handle the shock.
Capitalism is fluid, Communism/Socialism is and always will be rigid.

I don't care who started it, I support unstifled and unsuppressed free speech, not just speech I agree with.

Imagine trusting a chinaman
Is it a human rights abuse if we just start shooting all the ones in the South China Sea?

It needs to be renamed the Sea of Trump. The moment he announces the Chinese will pay to do that, the curse is on and it becomes inevitable.

I'm 98% white.
Don't chimp out on us mullato. We know you don't know how to do percentages.

I didn't do the percentages, a lab did them for me.

Don't worry I went through all that too. I've been banned from the entire site multiple times, halal'd, sued, and constantly bullied for being an indiginous person who enjoys his traditional indiginous beverages. If you stand staunch eventually the opposition will wither and melt away like the rats they are, for we are righteous in our struggle and they are just frightened reactionary maggots.

We have nothing to lose but our chains.
