Yep, this just accelerated the collapse by probably a whole 2 years.... if the coughing refugees pounding on the Mediterranean member's doorsteps doesn't precipitate at least ITALEXIT by this summer, I will be surprised. This is Exhibit "A" for all remaining fence-sitters that a one-government Europe is only usefull for enriching factory owners and letting professional activists silence political dissent, when it comes to actually doing any good for the people, even in an emergency, it's fuckin' useless. And you have to PAY for the privilege of Brussels saying "Well, in the name of cohesion, uh, sort that shit out before you harm our bank accoun.... uh... I mean, other, uh, member nations."

If it comes down to it, Poland and Greece may actually start shooting..... and if they do, the EU ends right THERE.

it's so out-of-the ordinary to the average First World Citizen to have someone drop dead from something they got breathing the air or die of an infection of something there's no pill for that the "natural" reaction when such comes along is to panic and assume it must be an escaped version of the Andromeda Strain and not nature reasserting itself as we let our guard down.

I wouldn't be SHOCKED if it is.... the CCP is an organization that fuels itself by throwing it's own citizens in the furnaces and sometimes doesn't even have the decency to wait for them to be dead yet.... but.... Occams Razor says it's more likely that an oppressive regime that has worn down it's people through overwork, overcrowding and forced them to live in a cloud of overindustrialized fallout and still believes in the ol Soviet idea that "If everyone says we're not sick, then we're not sick" is going to be the PERFECT spot for new pathogens to have a field day.
