The Netherlands now has over 800 confirmed cases. 10 deaths. The RIVM still tells people that 'you are much less likely to infect others if you have no symptoms', stores have altered their opening hours, and in some places people are hoarding all kinds of shit. On the other side, there are people who still think it's just a flu.

I asked my boss how to handle some things, as I am in a risk group and a lot of my face-to-face customers are boomers and silents and I really don't want to possibly infect them. He told me that was "an extremely good question" and suggested I'd stop doing face-to-face work and he would make some calls to his bosses. 30 mins later he showed up again and told me I "should, no, must go home", no buts. I'm to stay home for the coming two weeks at least.
Talked to the security guard on my way out. Turns out he is the only other person who prepared weeks ago and mentioned he was in contact with some high ranking military somethings, and that things are looking bleak. He told me nothing I haven't already learnt through the farms (you guys are wonderful), except that there is a chance of panic and suggested I get a firearm of some sort. I'm not sure if he's right, the Dutch are too lazy and passive to go out and loot stores and stuff like that.
Went to the supermarket next door before heading home and it was rather crowded, but that may be because it's saturday. No one was hoarding anything and there was nobody around the canned and dried goods sections. Everything but hand sanitizer seemed to be in stock. The cashiers were wearing gloves and I overheard them talking about how they'd get paid more if they actually wore them. The virus is surrounding my city, but we haven't had any known cases yet. So far I haven't seen anyone wearing a mask.
My partner and a bunch of people I know were sent home yesterday, to work from home. One friend who works in a hospital in Zeeland may have to be tested for the virus because they let employees into virus suspects' rooms without telling them they were previously occupied by said suspects.
