The last couple of days have been interesting for me. Restaurant I work in, with the city on Friday after Trumps speech started to close all of the schools, and started to cancel the live events for St. Patrick's day. In my area I work in is like the restaurant district, a lot of artsy hipsters, liberals, old people, droves of young people a crossed the board. That night it was dead as fucking door nails, probably the most dead I've seen a Friday after working in that neighborhood for almost 4 years now. Traffic was low too, everyone is on edge. People are panic buying like retards since the NBA cancelled their games. When the NHL did the same, EVERYONE started to panic. Tonight a lot of the regulars came out, sat around some friends and shot the shit and had some drinks after slaving in the kitchen all night.

All community centers are closing and everything is on lock down effective for the next couple of weeks until the situation is better understood. No confirmed cases yet, but fear is everywhere right now 100%. Whole city is going on quarantine mode now, it's fucking nuts. Saw this one chick with a face mask on when I was on the bus going to work today. Quite a few weeks ago I seen another lady driving with one on as well back in the beginning of February before the serge of cases that month. If anything, all of that false data from China all these months leading up should at this point make some heads roll when shit does get bananas. CCP are scum and this just proves that communism is an evil ideology. Personally I'm concerned about the toll this is going to take on the restaurant and service industry, because it's been fucking terrible the whole winter. I hope in 6 months from now I'm going to have to be working in the crematorium after losing my job and livelihood. Odd. The virus is supposed to disproportionally affect the elderly. What's up with that?

From what I've heard, the young are carriers and the elderly and infirm are being killed off. The young aren't as susceptible to its ill effects according to more official news sources, and they're out there partying like there's no tomorrow; I am not taking into account reports of inflammatory responses thanks to Corona-chan, or similar viruses leaving lasting effects for years afterward (because the younguns aren't either). They have articles quoting the 20 - 35 age bracket, with zoomers saying that if they're going to die, they're going to die having a good time. Of course, they realize on a primitive, subconscious level that they're young and (somewhat) healthy, so they have a fairly good chance of not dying immediately from Corona-chan.

Hence, the young are contracting it because they won't sit the fuck home and act like a NEET for once when it might actually benefit society.

Your government just printed out 1.5 trillion dollars to bail out merchant bankers. Shouldn't they be spending some of this on medical supplies and testing equipment?
