Boomer Hate Thread

There's a reason that they're called the "Me Generation", in that they were completely selfish. They wrecked shit because shit was in the way of what they wanted, without any thought or care for the future. That's something a lot of these people told me growing up, "You young kids think you're immortal, you think nothing's ever going to happen to you, just you wait, etc."

I now realize that they were speaking from experience. That doesn't change the fact that it was FUCKING ANNOYING

Carlin said it best: "If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're gonna get selfish, ignorant leaders." Lookit the last thirty or so years.

Nowadays, we're left with their spawn, what should be called the "'Look at Me' Generation", due to their disgusting self-worship. Everybody (at least in westernized countries, go figure) is being a complete jackass for no better reason than to bring attention to themselves.

And yeah, I get it, some of it's due to nature, we're social creatures who need social interaction, blah blah blah, but do we really need to act like a bunch of "edgy" 7th graders at an art museum???

I am really having a hard time deciding which one sucks less. *sigh*

I fucking hate baby boomers. They're fucking shit up for the rest of us. Discuss your hatred of baby boomers here.
I tend to think baby boomers are the worst generation in recent years, despite millenials getting much of the blame from them.

The reality is that most dysfunctional millenials inherited their dysfunctions from their overprotective Baby Boomer parents who raise their kids to think they're special snowflakes, while dysfunctional Baby Boomers grew up with the "greatest generation" and got that way completely on their own.

Boomers tend to fall into one of two camps, either stupid progressive hippies who never outgrew their "summer of love" phase, or stingy materialistic losers who think that buying a McMansion full of crap and slaving away at a corporate job they hate for Chinese made junk they don't need is the only purpose in life.

Millennials are worse than boomers.
Boomers were all raised by war veterans who gave them the strap for minor things. Millennials think the world is ending if somebody disagrees with them.
Disagree on that, since most Millennials got that way due to being raised by over-protective Baby Boomer parents who raised them to think they're special snowflakes, while Baby Boomers were raised by War Veterans yet got the way they are totally on their own.

Hell in fact 90% of the modern media which millenials sperg about, whether we're talking the Jersey Shore or MLP is produced by Baby Boomers anyway.

Many younger to core age Millennials were raised by Gen X parents. Boomers are a lot of peoples grandparents.

Meh, despite being from the tail end of the Millennial generation, I honestly hate the Millennials much more than the Boomers.

All this hating on the Boomers is just the generational equivalent of A-Logging. Personally, I've grown to like the Boomers despite their many flaws.

They're more functional than Millennials on average, and most Millennials and Early Zoomers just refuse to take responsibility for their own failures and so they blame the Boomers for why they have such crippling debt from getting a worthless college degree in sociology or gender studies, or some other grievance studies program.

Also, the Boomers had better music than us. Even their shitty pop music was better than ours, I'll gladly take ABBA and The Monkees over Taylor Swift or Adele.

Gen X is still the most based of any generation still alive.

(inb4 "OK Boomer" and any other shitty forced memes)

I don't hate Boomers I just wish they where less selfish sometimes but I get they worked for what they have, although being stuck at the tail end of Gen X and start of Millennial (Xennial apparently, also best generation really) my generation did get hit pretty hard with the recession and just general house ownership etc and debt. Although younger Millennials and Zoomers annoy me more with their endless whining and me me me attitude.

So many people seem to include Gen X and even millennials as Boomers with that meme, hate to say it but if people are born after 1981 and before the millennium according to some that makes you a millennial (some stats put Gen X ending as late as 1985 tho).

With the Boomer Remover going around, there isn't too much to hate left.

I know, and I think "OK Boomer" is a really dumb and very forced meme and the fact that so many Millennials and Early Zoomers use it as some kind of canned response to any and all criticism of them regardless of context makes it even more stupid and pathetic.

I was born in 1993, so depending on who you ask, I'm either at the start of the "Late Millennial" group or at the end of the "Late Millennial" group that overlaps with the Early Generation Z kids.

The biggest problem with boomers is their selfishness. They will literally make arguments that run along the lines of "I had to work 40 years for the stuff I've got, so why should you get anything for free?". They are blind to all the benefits they received, like free education, the opportunity to buy a house for 1/100th it's current value, effortless career progression, job security and free benefits. They won't accept that it is just better for everyone when we all share more and care more, and yes that involves GIVING people things that you had to WORK HARD for. This just doesn't compute for them. They lack compassion and the imagination to conceive of a society that is different to what they lived through, and think because they suffered to achieve something, everyone else must suffer similarly.
