I think with the exception of professions that depend largely on looks (fashion models, etc), the effect on physical appearance on your career opportunity is minimal and often idiosyncratic (e.g. most people will consider a woman with big boobs attractive; but if your boss associates big boobs with loose morals and "bimboism", then your chance of promotion may suffer). At any rate, most people are neither dashing handsome or shockingly hideous, and you can develop charisma without good looks.

This argument presumes that the development of introversion/extraversion is totally dependent on the feedback a person receives from others. This is no doubt true to a certain extent, but hardly the complete picture. Genetics, birth order, and other life experience will have a influence. Take an example on the sluthate people: most of them are not that unattractive, but they're timid as fuck because...well, I don't know.
