Not going to lie, I want Trump to get sick and make it through it fine, just so all the "unhealthy" bullshit media throws around would just get laughed at.
Hana is likely a lazy thot who doesn't go out to vote like the rest of her entitled peers.
Yeah, but the Bernouts don't know that. It's not like Bernie would've won either.
Nope, he's to cucked to the DNC. Not sure why anyone assumes he's going to grow a pair of balls all of a sudden. It's not like Bernie would've won either.
All the testosterone in the Democratic Party comes from the women. Klobuchar could probably beat up Mayor Pete and make him cry (and you can tell she wanted to). Tulsi is a bonafide Hawaiian rainbow warrior. Kamala throws truant kids and their families into jail for fun and profit. Hillary has more kills than Genghis Khan had children.Nope, he's to cucked to the DNC. Not sure why anyone assumes he's going to grow a pair of balls all of a sudden.
This is probably their last Hail Mary before the election, the pussy tape, North Korea, kids in cages, false accusations, Mueller, Iran and their WW3, impeachment, etc... Everything they've tried has failed so far, so now that it took a world wide pandemic for them to have something that resembled a shot at Orange Man, they're not gonna hold back, no matter how transparent and dumb they lookI must share this with you guys.
Trump plague? Trump regime? Trump's crimes against humanity? I've seen a lot of melodramatic, down right awful TDS, as I'm sure all of you have too, but this just took the cake for me. These people are so deseperate to paint Trump as an evil dictator who must be taken down at all cost.
And yet I think their very desperation will be their undoing. They haven't learned that the more obvious their bias is, the less credible they are. Or perhaps I'm too optimistic about the voting public. This is probably their last Hail Mary before the election, the pussy tape, North Korea, kids in cages, false accusations, Mueller, Iran and their WW3, impeachment, etc... It really surprises me how this fedora atheist keeps getting into the top responses on politicians' comments. It isn't 2007 anymore, everyone knows that's a totally bankrupt and laughable position to have.
I posted earlier today that Trump's approval from an NBC News poll is holding steady at 46%. So it's mostly noise to the non TDS afflicted. And yet I think their very desperation will be their undoing. They haven't learned that the more obvious their bias is, the less credible they are. That's fair, I'm not implying things were perfect and there were areas where the response could certainly have been handled better. But the media fucking crucified Bush over Katrina, especially in relation to New Orleans, when most of that hellhole's problems were self-caused. See: building your city in a goddamn bowl. They're clearly trying it again when the problems are once more not the sitting president's fault.Well, Bush did appoint a Good ol' Boy political patron to be head of FEMA who had zero qualifications, never expecting there to be a natural disaster he'd have to respond to.
It was purely an "Atta boy! Lookin' sharp in those official website headshots!" posting, and when he had to actually do his job, he failed so hard that Wal-Mart waded 18-wheelers through the muck and got bottled water to the scene faster than the National Guard units under his control did, and within a week, he had to resign in utter disgrace because it was obvious he was a US version of the typical South American bureaucrat serving at a rank 40 levels above his competency level because he knew El Presidente and could barely put on a necktie without choking himself.
I like how this fag went from "poorly drawn smiling face of God" to "poorly drawn 'I'm super cereal you guys' God" sometime recently, I think around when impeachment landed like a wet turd. And like a good NPC, he's parroting the "moar tests!!!!" line. Christ, what an asshole.
To play Devil's Advocate, allowing one region to royally fuck up the response(i.e China, Iran) will make it much harder for sane regions to respond well, especially if all those regions are within the same country & therefore have open borders with each other.Maybe I'm overthinking it, but consider three scenarios:
I think option 3 is what they're worried about. If TX and CA both have outbreaks, but TX handles it better, then there's a clear difference in competency between Republican and Democratic states.
- Trump tells everyone what to do, they do it, things go wrong. There's a single point of blame, and it's easy to criticize.
- Trump lets the state/local authorities handle things, and everyone gets it wrong. Everyone is to blame, plus you can blame Trump for not centralizing a response.
- Trump lets the state/local authorities handle things; some places get it wrong, but other places manage it correctly. Now you have clear losers and winners, but the biggest risk is in the large cities, which are run by Democrats, who will catch a lot of individual blame.
There's no outcome that would force them to praise Trump, because goalposts will always be moved and counter-factual speculation is sketchy. But multiple simultaneous responses allow for a direct comparison between successful and failed responses. You can prove that a governor/mayor had better options available when other governors/mayors are trying them out.
Leftists like Bloomberg spent a good chunk of time trying to capture state level offices to force through their agenda, and they succeeded in places like Virginia. Having those newly installed Democrats get shown up as failures is a legit setback for them.
(Edit: Scenario #2 also runs the risk of local Democrats looking bad, while giving Trump scapegoats for failure. Only scenario #1 guarantees Trump gets all the blame, which is why they're trying to push him into it.)
Alright, this one made me a little mad. Spoiler tag for long, somewhat off-topic rant about Katrina.
The media is trying so desperately to smear Trump with the same accusations they leveled unfairly at Bush. It's utterly transparent that no matter what he does, they'll claim it isn't enough, or that he's lying to the American public, or something something orange man bad. It's all so tiresome.Bush and the feds did plenty after Katrina. They got supplies to the region within days, sent temporary shelters for those who lost their homes, and helped work with families to assess damage and get their insurance claims filed. Plenty of financial assistance came over the years to help communities get their public buildings repaired or replaced, such as city halls, schools, and libraries. Short of waving a magic wand and undoing all the damage, there really wasn't much more they could have done. At that point, it was up to communities to work on getting businesses and families back.
New Orleans is a Democrat-run shithole (all mayors since 1872 have been Dems!) built in a fucking bowl below sea level. The flooding in the city wasn't due to the hurricane dumping rain on the city from above, but due to the levees breaking and causing the Gulf waters to come flooding in. Granted, there were engineering problems with the levees, such as failing to take into account the actual conditions of the soil and using sand instead of clay in some areas. However, by law, maintenance of the levees was the responsibility of local government, not the feds. And true to form of basically any kind of construction work in New Orleans, the entire levee project was supposed to take 13 years when it was authorized in 1965, but when Katrina hit, it was only 60-90% complete. They weren't even expecting to be done for another decade.
Lest we forget, this is the same city that still hasn't cleaned up the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel months later, even after one of the dead bodies still trapped inside could be seen from the fucking street. This is the same city that has more potholes than streets. Louisiana as a whole and New Orleans in particular are positively rife with corruption, and I'm sure there were plenty of federal funds that got siphoned away into various politicians' pockets.![]()

The worst part is that nobody actually remembers that Katrina didn't hit New Orleans directly. They actually got the weaker side of the storm (counter-clockwise rotation means that the west side's winds are weaker once it hits land and push water away from the shore). The eye hit Mississippi, with some towns being effectively wiped off the map. But the media focused so hard on the flooding in New Orleans that the general public thinks it's the only place that was affected, including that faggot David Brooks up there. Fuck him, fuck the media, and especially fuck New Orleans.
The Simpsons had it right decades ago:
To play Devil's Advocate, allowing one region to royally fuck up the response(i.e China, Iran) will make it much harder for sane regions to respond well, especially if all those regions are within the same country & therefore have open borders with each other.
As Mnuchin pointed out today, this isn't a recession caused by economic policy, but a downturn caused by uncertainty about an external problem. A lot of people are limiting contact to try to help control the spread of the disease, which naturally leads to less spending across the entire economy. But because the problem has a clear source, we can enact various emergency measures in direct response to that to help keep the economy going. I'm just doing armchair analysis here, but to me, the stock market rallying after Trump's speech on Friday means there's going to be some volatility ahead, but we're benefiting from having a strong economy going into the crisis. Panic helps no one.
He should really just declassify the FISA warrants and bust the whole scheme open. I feel like this is a half-measure to protect the corrupt process. Not Corona-chan related but that tweet from Trump will spark lots of "Rrrrreeeeee".
